not enjoying Cherie's at all very awkaward.

twinsetandpearls · 01/11/2008 18:52

she has completely lost it.

cyteen · 01/11/2008 18:55

yeah, it's interesting how things develop over the series isn't it? jodie rising, cherie falling (iyswim). i think she takes herself a bit too seriously for the salsa.

jenk1 · 01/11/2008 19:15

i dont know why but i just cant take to camilla, not sure why, shes prob very nice in real life,i dont like tom cos i think hes a smug twit.

liked lisas tango though

poshtottie · 01/11/2008 19:17

I knew Cherie would struggle in the latin dances. All her previous dances have been slow.

I don't think the music particulary helped.

OllieWollieWoo · 01/11/2008 19:21

Re Camilla - she always seems to have the worse dresses - me thinks she has pissed the costume department off big time!

cyteen · 01/11/2008 19:21

same here jenk, she leaves me a little cold. although that could just be the bad outfits. every week, worse than the last!

thought rachel's jive was made of fail. all a bit too leaden, despite her looking like she enjoyed it. surprised at the positive comments tbh.

Saturn74 · 01/11/2008 19:23

Rachel's comments and scores didn't match.

Febes · 01/11/2008 19:34

Only saw half the show so I'll catch up properly and then make my synopsis. Off to the x factor now though

twinsetandpearls · 01/11/2008 19:36

febes will catch you on that thread!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/11/2008 20:19

Rachel looked amazing. Loved her dress (and legs ), and Kristina's. Jodie's waltz and Lisa's tango were both great.

I think Andrew and Heather for the bottom two. They both have to go out before John IMHO . It would do Cherie good to be at the bottom this week!

sis · 01/11/2008 20:37

Cherie got a 6 from Craig despite clearly messing up on the turns towards the end!

Febes · 01/11/2008 21:35

OK caught up LOVED Jodie and Ian but didn't like her dress.
LOVED Lisa and Brendan both looked GREAT as well.
Cherie was BAD tonight
Didn't think Austin was good enough for a 10 but enjoyed his quick step. What was Erins frock and hair like tonight???
Andrew was a bit rubbish he just needs to go.
Heather was ok I thought her comments were too harsh. Loved the song and Brian was great.
Tom was SOOOOOOOO over the top tonight the face was too much. He nearly snapped his neck off backwards.
I enjoyed John and Christina and thought his comments were too harsh too.
Christine was better than last week but seems to have gone off the boil a bit.
Loved Rachel tonight and I haven't liked her up to now but she was great tonight.

I think thats everyone

mynameis · 01/11/2008 23:35

All I can say is, Brian can be my American Boy anytime

squeaver · 02/11/2008 10:17

There's a lot of naked ambition this series, I think:

Cherie - but she's lost all her confidence

Erin - still desperate to make up for Dummygate

Tom - yes agree v smug

Brendan - as usual, and I like Lisa but she looks a bit desperate for approval at times

Vincent - finally thinks he's got a chance of winning

My favourites are Jodie and Ian, mainly because they seem to be having a really great time together.

compo · 02/11/2008 10:17

what is Dummygate?!!

fionaann · 02/11/2008 11:27

LOVED Austin ? thought the dance really suited his personality. He is naturally witty and doesn?t seem to be trying too hard to be funny ? unlike Tom. Erin?s hair was really nice on ITT on Friday. She definitely suits it down and with the new colour. She slipped up again when she said she wanted a 10 ? reminders of when she said that Zoe hadn?t deserved a 10 she got.

LOVED Jodie?s routine and the relationship she has with Ian ? agree that the dress was hideous. Does anyone think that for a model she often gets dresses which don?t look great on her ? thinking of the purple one for I think the Samba.

Not a great fan of Lisa but thought she was quite good.

LOVED Kristina?s routine for John. Thought John was undermarked ? he didn?t put a foot wrong unlike others.

I liked Heather?s routine and Brian was as wonderful as ever. I know she looked a bit awkward but I thought she was undermarked.

What was going on with Cherie? She went wrong many times, looked really stiff and awkward throughout and the judges still gave her pretty good marks - even Craig.

Liked Rachel?s routine ? not perfect but pretty good. What does she have to do to please Len? However, as a couple they don?t really stick in my mind.

Christine ? better but I think she has plateaued.

Tom, oh dear, oh dear ? what?s with the really stupid expression? Why do the judges focus on minute things with other dancers and not even mention how silly he looked? Camilla for me is too girly, giggly and clingy for a woman in her thirties ? and she has taken over from Karen in the gurning stakes.

Andrew ? time to go ? and please stop whining about your injury.

Bottom two ?Heather and it should be Andrew but probably won?t be. Hard to say who the other one might be ? possibly Cherie as it?s hard to warm to her.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 02/11/2008 11:42

I agree with Fionaann.

Austin danced well in the quick step but it's not a dance that has the ability to amaze on an emotional level, I mean, it doesn't make me joyful or tearful. I admired the energy and I'm glad he got the dance out of the way. I think I feel the same (generally) with the foxtrot too.

Heather or Andrew to go.

Sadly, I don't think Christine will last much longer either.

I would like them to leave in the following order - Andrew, Heather, John then Christine - then the real competition begins...

Clayhead · 02/11/2008 11:51

Every time the dummy dance is mentioned I have to relive the agony of sitting and watching Colin throw it all away after weeks of being the best dancer. It's no good for my nerves!!!

Heated · 02/11/2008 12:08

Tom's footwork was very flat footed & what was that expression on his face? Overmarked.

Agreed with Brendan, that Jodie & Ian's waltz was undermarked. It was beautiful. Lisa also good & at last got marks that reflected their dance.

Obviously the judges' sights are set on John but Andrew, Heather & Christina were all forgettable.

TALLULAHBELLE · 02/11/2008 12:12

Thought Rachael was great this week. Len just doesn't seem to like her for some reason - what more could she have done?

Cherie has been awful last 2 weeks but doesn't get reflected in her marks.

Andrew definitely to go this week. Back to his usual dire performance.

Agree with Margo's order - Heather not getting any better & John (love him) can't really hang on much longer.

IKWYM Clayhead. Don't think I ever got over Colin losing out on the trophy when he had been clearly the best throughout.

Tigerschick · 02/11/2008 12:20

Right - I've managed to watch all the dances and judge's comments and I've read the thread ...

I thought that Austin and Erin were brilliant. I think that the quickstep is hard to do well as it has to be fast to look right but when you're going fast it's easy to fall over your feet. What was going on with Erin's hair tho??

I also loved Jodie and Ian's waltz. I hope that she stays in long enough to show how she has improved (hopefully) in the latin dances too.

Lisa and Brendan were very good. I enjoyed their tango more than I have enjoyed anything they've done so far.

John was sweet and I enjoyed his foxtrot.

Heather was forgetable, sadly. I really wish she'd close her blinking mouth!

Cherie was all over the place. I think she was over-marked.

I didn't see what they were all complaining about with Christine - but I'm no expert on the footwork side of things ...

Andrew was a disaster.

Tom ... I think it's been said already. Too smug and what was with his face???

Rachel didn't wow me. I agreed with Len that I really thought this would be a perfect dance for her - remember Louisa Lytton's?? (the dance starts 2 mins in if you want to watch it) - it may have been the choreography, not enough jumpy kick things (See, I know all the right words )

Andrew and Heather in the bottom 2. Andrew to go, please!!

fionaann · 02/11/2008 12:21

I agree with Margo's order of people to go - but the GMTV audience will no doubt keep Andrew in.

Darren Gough was surely the least deserving winner of Strictly. Who do people think the best ever Strictly celeb winner was and who got away? My votes would go to Aleisha and Zoe and Colin.

PinkPussyCat · 02/11/2008 12:28

Yes I thought Cherie appeared to have lost confidence last night. She's too refined for the salsa!

Not usually a fan of Lisa's but thought her Tango was fab

Heather looks like she's on her way out now

Thought Christine was very good but felt as a viewer you don't get to see enough 'footwork'. So don't really know what the judges were on about!

Andrew Castle - Noooooooo! Make him stop!

I thought Tom looked a bit like this last night
