Oh and FWIW I have a sneaking feeling that the awful pic of Rachel is from some fundraising stunt as she does have a charidee background.

Do not question her PROFESSIONAL STRATEGY of PROFESSIONALISMALITY.

DH met Raj back in November at a Business Conference thingy in London - apparently quite a nice bloke and very switched on - perhaps he's just holdling back at the moment?

I haven't cringed so much since the last series of The Office.

Raj did tell Saira that she was making his ears ache. That was quite good.

AS seems to think Raj is quite switched on so perhaps there are bits we don't get to see because they're not such good telly.
I think the keep your head down approach seems to be serving quite a few of them well so far.

Is James the investment banker? SIR AS has got a soft spot for Saira as well though.

Report
beansprout · 24/03/2005 16:45

I think James is perhaps a tad too middle class for Sir Alan who loves the whole working-boy-made-good bit hence him being partial to Paul and Saira. I rate Tim myself.

Btw - just what does AS's empire consist of? Who owns an Amstrad anything?

The fact that Amstrad is such a shit brand makes it funnier. The jukebox is back.

I think it's fascinating that almost all the women have been "fired" first. Did they not know to "keep their heads down" as someone else mentioned? Or were they chosen because they were volatile characters? Or are women generally not as savvy at playing office politics (know that was my weak spot at work....)

Some of them, e.g. Saira, are incapable of working in a team.

Saying "I am a good team player" does not actually make you a good team player!!

Earlybird if you have been watching you will see that unfortuneatly the girls who have been fired have been backstabbing and bitching, it has not been about 'playing office politics or keeping their heads down' They have been bad examples of female PROFESSIONALS ;) and have spent much more time putting others down or not working as a team.

Adele was one of my favourites, telling someone else she could be her 'PA' brilliant Then Lyndsey totally going over the heads and ignoring EVERYONE on her team - hilarious semaphore episode Miranda just had a sour face on her and didn't join in with Adeles 'PA' thing.

The blokes have actually been working together and bouncing ideas of each other with less ego clashes. Hence they have won tasks and not been fired.

but you forgot the 'awkward character' matthew and the 'you've all nicked my flyers!' episode

SIR AS has already picked out were definites to go I think. Rachel and Lyndsay were far too worthy, Matthew too Stephen Fryish, Adeniki, Adele and Miranda too sulky and emotionless. He likes Saira and Paul because both are a bit firey and feisty. Can't tell about the others yet
