such a good show. How vile are those people though?

I reckon it's relatively easy to do this in property if you have a bit of backing in the early days but it's all tied in property so you're worth millions on paper but still as poor as a church mouse in everyday life.
I thought the youngest recruitment guy was a total idiot.
James had no chance right from the start.
When AS kept asking Paul why he wanted to work for him I wanted to shout 'Because he wants people to treat him like a God even when he's a complete D**K just like they do you!'

bundle · 28/04/2005 11:46

paul had to go because he didn't take any advice from anyone, the whole time he was there.

Agree with Robin3 - property "profit" is all paper money and he was so cagey about his gearings when interviewed plus some of it seemed to be a family business so perhaps his personal fortunes weren't that great. Felt sorry for pregnant wife and child left behind while he went on this ego trip though.

Milly1968 · 28/04/2005 13:47

I'm very surprised Tim is still in. Okay he's a nice guy and he obviously works hard, however, I can't really remember him excelling in any of the tasks. The only thing I can remember him doing was trying to negotiate with that footballer for his golf clubs which he completely messed up (ended up saying something along the lines of they wanted him to donate them because it would help them in the competition) and Miriam was left to salvage the situation. I suppose however, in a way, he's an ideal "apprentice" as he doesn't seem to have the business experience that the others have. He seems a bit of a blank canvas to me, although perhaps that's what SAS is looking for.

I think Saira deserves to win, as she's actually contributed much more to all the tasks that Tim has, even if she is really mouthy. However, I have a feeling it will be Tim.

I wonder why James and Paul were recruited in the first place if SAS thought they weren't really "apprentice" material? Surely either him or one of his many minions must have realised that they were had too much experience and were over qualified (James) and too wealthy (Paul) before they were selected for the programme.

They're selling the wolf jackets on ideal world now - and James is selling them!

The hottest fleece on tv

Anteater · 03/05/2005 16:26

Maybe Sir A will surprise us all and fire them both? I would'nt employ Saira (rest of work force would leave) or Tim (nice but a bit..) Could he reinstate a fired candidate?

pupuce · 03/05/2005 16:41

I have always like Saira... she is not stupid at all !

LIZS · 03/05/2005 16:57

So is James living up to their suspicions about him just wanting the media spotlight I wonder. £49.99 for a wolf jacket, pmsl !!

theMole · 04/05/2005 19:56

anteater

at last, someone figured it out!

WideWebWitch · 04/05/2005 19:58

Well, you were wrong the last time you told us something TheMole so I don't think I believe you. My money's on Saira.

kid · 04/05/2005 20:20

I don't believe the mole either, plus who cares, it finishes tonight anyway so we don't have long to wait!

wow!
I'm actually really pleased with the result.... it was well won... what a nice guy (loves his mum!!!)

Great programme- glad there is going to be another.

Bonkerz · 04/05/2005 22:37

enjoyed tonights programmes and am well happy that tim was chosen. Totally deserved!!

Bit upset that it clashed with ALI G IN DA HOUSE though

Anteater · 04/05/2005 23:10

Good telly, but still not convinced by Tim, "the sponge"!! Wonder what Sir A's advisors thought.. didnt show that. Thought James would have complimented Sir A the best.. So if he has an apprentice, whats the next job on offer??

gscrym · 05/05/2005 07:52

Dh said last night it was in the papers that Saira was pregnant. Anything truth in that one? According to what Sir Alan Sugar said on Jonathan Ross, she got married in December.

katierocket · 05/05/2005 08:24

great TV, think TIm is nothing that special really but can probably be moulded. It is sweet that he's so close to his mum.
I think Miriam is a sharp cookie, especially with what she said about female teams.

My collague told that the Sunday Times two weeks ago stated that AS has now employed the last four (James, Saira, Paul and Tim) which really pissed off the program makers. I think that was the surprise that everyone was gossiping about.

Tinker · 05/05/2005 10:54

What, SAS got married to Saira? Now that would be a surprise

The way Miriam talks annoys me though. Plus, she owns an hotel in the Caribbean, and that annoys me

koalabear · 05/05/2005 11:01

what happened in the "Your hired" finale show after the final of the "Apprentice"? I only taped the first show

fastasleep · 05/05/2005 11:04

Oh god can you imagine Saira as your mum! You'd be enslaved from a young age! She was cool thoug, I wanted her to win.
