I'm from the EastEnd too so I want Tim to win

marthamoo · 28/04/2005 07:51

I saw a woman in my local Tesco in a "WolfSpirit" jacket!

Couldn't stop sniggering to myself.

katierocket · 28/04/2005 08:14

Next weeks show looks brilliant, what a great idea to bring the others back and have them work for Tim or Siara

Paul made a BIG mistake when he said to AS "we're different" - you could see AS switch off from him entirely at that point. I thought younger representative advisor (who looked like a complete tosser to me) was very chippy about James, who was far and away the best candidate IMO. AS's empire would have been lucky to get him I think and shouldn't have turned their noses up. But he was too posh and too clever and chippy working class blokes don't like him imo. Tim is really quite dim I think, I just can't see how he'll win, so it's got to be Saira, who deserves it IMO IF James wasn't going to get it, if only because she'll do ANYTHING to get a sale and AS likes salespeople. Paul's a little shit isn't he?

Cod, the wolf jacket was priceless, really funny.

WideWebWitch · 28/04/2005 08:17

I tell you what though, I wouldn't want to work for AS for anything, six figures wouldn't be enough to put up with him, what a nasty man. Did anyone see the Lynne Barber interview with him in The Observer on Sunday? He sounded as awful in that as he does in the programme.

Blackduck · 28/04/2005 08:42

The property guy really didn't like James (threatened by him? inverted snobbery....?). Paul just had to go...'i've got property in Newcastle,....and London....and France and the Caribiean (can't sp)......' was he lying? Thought Saira was really shrewd - when the guy asked what his body language was convaying and she said 'She's not convincing me, she needs to do more to convince me...'

beansprout · 28/04/2005 08:49

Tim would make a good winner. Have rated him from v early on. He is hard working and willing to learn. We have seen him take advice from the others in some of the other tasks, which I think is impressive in a competitive environment. I can't stand people who think they have nothing to learn.

Thank f*ck Paul has gone. About bloody time. Totally agree about the inverted snobbery with James. As for Saira. Amazing but he just can't take the risk of her running around his company with her complete lack of empathy/social skills.

bundle · 28/04/2005 11:22

www, agree about the Lyn Barber interview, he sounded abominable and pointlessly rude. for me Tim is a bit bland. Paul was like a 7 yr old boy who'd had his football taken off him: s'not fair!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wail!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Sponge · 28/04/2005 11:32

I really liked James but I can see their point about him possibly using it as a bit of a publicity stepping stone. He's been earning a lot more than AS is offering and I think there's a good chance he would move on fairly quickly. As it stands he'll probably get some TV job or be on the next "I'm a celebrity" before long. He certainly played his exit from the boardroom for the cameras.
If AS genuinely wants an apprentice who will work hard and want to learn, rather than an employee who already has skills in an area he needs, then I think Tim's his man.

robin3 · 28/04/2005 11:37

I think it's a little unfair that AS got rid of the two people he felt didn't need the money which was what it boiled down to.

I reckon James is sincere in wanting a new challenge.

Paul needed to go but obviously wanted the job because he had achieved money but no power...that's what the cocky git wants POWER and lots of it.

Tinker · 28/04/2005 11:38

Do you think Paul really had made as much money as he claimed though? Sounded like bullshit to me.

Sponge · 28/04/2005 11:43

I think he was bullshitging and he was hugely defensive. A very insecure little man methinks, hence all the agression.

Sponge · 28/04/2005 11:43

bullshitting even.
