Big Brother - the last lap

I'm starting a new thread because the other one's a bit full now (and seems to have gone dead as well).

Considering how much time Rex spent bigging My Girlfriend up before she even came into the nouse, telling us she was a princess, etc, surely the least he can do is be loyal to her now. But here he is apportioning blame for bad feeling between them and Kat and Mo, when Mo was in jail. My Girlfriend, needless to say, wasn't present:-

"Nicole said, 'Why do we have to have a campaign for Mo today' blah blah blah. But anyway, you know. Nicole's only bringing problems to this house. For me, anyway. You know, she's obviously not grown up enough to be here. What she has to understand, what she doesn't understand, she says, 'I can't stand being around theeese people', What you have to understand is that in here that's the whole point of being here, that you're around people that you wouldn't normally socialise with. And I understand that more than anyone, you know. I'm not similar to anyone here. I'm not similar to Nicole either."

Great. Short of saying "Get Nicole out", what more could he do to make his wishes clear? My Girlfriend has become My Burden.

Lisa has a grown-up daughter. So, unless she's the father....

Rachel is leading in all the polls, though Sara is catching her up - or was before Poolgate (sorry) on Friday night. Mikey is the bookies favourite, but that isn't supported by the polls. He isn't rated higher than fourth on any of them.

My guesses:

1st & 2nd - Rachel and Sara (or vice versa)

3rd - Rex. Yes he's the most hated, but he still has a big fanbase. If Tuesday was a vote to evict, he'd be gone. The Rex-haters would see to that. But it's a vote to save, so everyone will just be voting for their favourites, and Rex has plenty of fans. He's sure to make the last 4 anyway. At that point with the others evicted, the Rex-haters could become a force (if there's still voting time). Once we're down to the last 4, fans of the 5th, 6th and 7th place finishers could start piling in against Rex. But I still have to fancy him for 3rd.

4th - Mikey. Has a smaller fanbase than Rex, but is less hated by the rest of the populace. I'd like Mikey to beat him but I fear he won't.

5th - Darnell. Could have won, but wissed it all away with his attacks on Sara.

6th and 7th - to go on Tuesday. Mo and Kat. Kat's popularity has sunk drastically in the last month, and Mo was never popular in the first place.

I'd like Mikey to win too Roxyfoxy and he may do yet as the polls were way out last year. They predicted the twins winning by about 20% when infact Brian won by about 20%

I wouldn't mind seeing Rachel winning either though so if the polls were right I wouldn't mind

I think whoever wins it will be very close this year.

Doubt it will be Rex though as if he made the final two I feel that many people would vote for the person opposite him to ensure he didn't win. Or at least I hope so

Could someone give me a quick synopsis of poolgate please as I didn't see it.

The second sarah even sniffs a cork she acts hammered and starts getting flirty with darnell.

Yes he's a twat, but I can see why he's a twat, he's very confused.

Fimbo, Poolgate was my rather silly term for an incident on Friday night after Lisa's eviction. Sara got drunk, jumped in the pool. So did Darnell. Canoodling took place. After Sara had been saying "I don't fancy Darnell" it didn't look very good, especially when Darnell had been reprimanded by BB for his abusive language towards Sara. You'd think she'd keep her distance after that. But the poor girl has an attention-span that doesn't extend beyond the next drag of the next cigarette she bums off Rex.

sara needs to be careful, in more ways than one!

The way I see it is Rex and darnell don't do female 'freinds'

Rex sees women as Cleaners, Strippers or eyecandy. Darnell gets confused between friendship and romance.

I think Rex sees women as things to either despise or possess. There's been a bit of a boys' club this year, and that's one reason I hope a female wins this time.

Rex was horrible to Sara. You can see in Darnell that he fancies her rotten, I think his pride was battered and thats why he was nasty too.

Just cos Sara will not only wind Darnell up again, but also, the public are quite pro-Sara at the mo, but if she keeps being a prick tease....

What's started this Darnell/Kat thing? I've just turned on and Darnell is ranting like a mad thing

I think Kat has imagined herself to be the winner from a long way out and to have someone say they would vote her out before Sarah (even though it may have been said in jest) is a big shock to her and she didn't like it one little bit. Acted like a right old Prima Donna.

She stropped over to the diary room ranting and crying and to be honest was pretty pathetic about it. Darnell couldn't believe her reaction and basically said she was acting to gain sympathy votes - I think he's right too.

Kat is excruitiating to watch. She's far too old to get away with the 'cutesy' behaviour.

Anyone else notice that no one comforted or consoled her after the darnell bust up. I think even Rachael is sussing her out.

She more unappealing as each day goes by.

Kat has to go. Last night was just pathetic. I noticed too that nobody tried to comfort her. It's the only time recently that I felt like saying well done Rex as he certainly told her how it is.

Yes - I agree. Kat is all to free with the tears and I don't think they are genuine. I think she thinks she can win but now it may be that she goes quite early on. Duoble eviction with Rachel perhaps!

I don't get how Sara can overlook the fact that Darnell called her an 'ugly bitch' not matter how much he fancies her it is no excuse for the vileness of his past behaviour

Kat drove me mad last night ,I have said from day 1 she is just putting on a big act .
She is so self assured she is going to win I am so hoping she wont win or even come second because she is a PITA [saddo]

It's almost certainly Kat and Mo going tonight. I never liked Kat much, just a bit too happy clappy, which was a novelty at first but wore off after a week or so. But I can't see why she is so unpopular now. Some of the fans she had early on must have turned against her big time. As for Mo, he's just Rex's messenger boy. He won't be missed.

Fair play to Kat she has been a mediator in the house when bad stuff has happened and I think she has a really good way of telling people not to be a dick when they can't see it themselves, she's been very good at telling Rex to cool it for example.

I don't usually post on the BB threads but I watched last night and that Kat woman is appalling, really dreadful. I can't imagine living with someone so childish and self-centred. I hope she gets evicted tonight.

I think I've finally worked out Kat's real tactics to win...... she is trying to poison the other housemates....Did you see how much salt she put on that chicken?!!!!!!!

Honestly, they're all so awful, I can't see why anyone would actively vote for any of them. Think Roxy's got it pretty close, tho. But I think Rex will be 2nd. Remember that Jason guy a few years ago (when Nadia won)? He reminds me of him.
