that's good you've got it mostly sorted - further on that you were when you posted the other day (or maybe it was the other week........I searched for a thread last night as I thought I'd found the solution to a MN'ers request - only to discover the thread was 1 1/2yrs old )

It's on now. I'm really looking forward to it.

expatinscotland · 19/08/2008 21:03

TURN IT ON, WEEGIES!

falcon · 19/08/2008 21:12

Why is there always a local loony there to greet them?

expatinscotland · 19/08/2008 21:13

They didn't say exactly where he was.

Any weegies watching?

No shock on the poverty stats or the low life expectancies.

falcon · 19/08/2008 21:14

He's in Possil and Milton I believe but unsure which of the two he's staying in.

chocolateshoes · 19/08/2008 21:16

This is one of my favourite progs of the week. I thought last weeks was really good. Have sent DH off upstairs so he doesn't interrupt.

falcon · 19/08/2008 21:16

I'm a Glaswegian, a proud Glaswegian in spite of the poverty to be found in many areas it's a wonderful city with many wonderful people.

expatinscotland · 19/08/2008 21:17

I think it's a terrific city!

It's our closest city (we are in Argyll), although DH and the girls are from Embra.

I just wish there weren't such poverty .

falcon · 19/08/2008 21:20

I became ridiculously excited because I've seen that lady, the one who is blind, so many times in the city centre.

GivePeasAChance · 19/08/2008 21:21

He is very open. I like the way he is aware of his prejudices and prepared to evaluate them.

(I think I am biased already knowing he is not going to be tight !)

tiredemma · 19/08/2008 21:21

Im crying already. Its my fave on so far

expatinscotland · 19/08/2008 21:21

We once lived in a very deprived area of Edinburgh.

I found it depressing in many ways, but a lot of the people were absolutely fabulous.

expatinscotland · 19/08/2008 21:25

I really, really like the people here.

tiredemma · 19/08/2008 21:28

Fucking hell. There but for the grace of God go I.

MrsMuddle · 19/08/2008 21:29

I used to work in the voluntary sector in Maryhill / Possil. I know lots of these people, and I wish I still worked there, going out and about. Sadly, the funding ended.
