On BBC3 now.

Surprised to see that a mother who is so interested in the way her child/children look, would drive them around without them wearing seatbelts.

What a cow the mother is.

BettySpaghetti · 17/07/2008 21:37

OMG! I can't believe this family.

That mother has a face like slapped arse when people dare to say something she doesn't want to hear.

Poor kid -if you were to fast-forward 10 years I wonder what she'll be doing? Other than undergoing therapy of some sort that is

DiscoDizzy · 17/07/2008 21:40

I thought it was funny at the beginning when she was bragging about her 'modelling' career etc. Very amusing as it was VERY shortlived. And her calendar! OMG. Cindy Crawford she aint.

Bluestocking · 17/07/2008 21:46

The Pageant Moms are something else ...

Piffle · 17/07/2008 21:47

Wrong so wrong, not instigated by the girl.
Ds1 approached on street by models one in London aged 7 and again by another agency aged 12
Now 14 if I thought he wanted to model I'd let him
He thinks it's grim
End of
How you can inflict this regime on your daughter, your pretty sweet kind bonny daughter
I aspire to model with Jordan.
that's not an aspiration, that's a what if I can't do anything else. Plus in jprdans defence she was older and decided on her own.
This lass has been propelled on her mothers failed attempt at similar careers

DiscoDizzy · 17/07/2008 21:48

I get the feeling she's not gonna win.

BettySpaghetti · 17/07/2008 21:49

I thought it was really sad at the beginning when they asked her to describe herself in 3 words. She said:

pretty

blonde

dumb

Bluestocking · 17/07/2008 21:51

Oh cripes. She's about as natural a dancer as her brother is a singer.

DiscoDizzy · 17/07/2008 21:53

That music woke them sleepy americans up though.

squilly · 17/07/2008 22:13

I feel really sorry for this girl. Where's the joy in her life? She seems weighed down with responsibility already (or is it the weight of her hair extensions and false nails).

My dd is a pretty wee thing, but I wouldn't enter her in beauty contests and though I say she's gorgeous, I always tell her that the most important thing about being beautiful is that it comes from the inside.

Poor Sasha was like a Stepford wife. Not even a Stepford child...God forbid her mum would let her look like a child...even for a minute.

The mother is seriously deluded. And by the time the child gets to the stage where she can make money from the Glamour business (which, let's face it, is probably where she'll end up) her dd will have flown the coop to get as far away from this controlling, domineering bitch as she can.

Makes me realise that some of the competitiveness I thought I saw on Mumsnet is nothing compared to this!

squilly · 17/07/2008 22:15

Oh...and the picture of the parents on that webpage thing that you linked to above? Totally gross. It just made me a little bit sick in my mouth! URGH!

HumphreyCushioni · 17/07/2008 22:16

I know, squilly.
That picture of the parents proves exactly who this whole circus is about.

Minkychunky · 17/07/2008 22:18

Minkychunky · 17/07/2008 22:20

hahahahah

StarSparkle · 18/07/2008 10:49

Aaawwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhhhhh ! Just saw the pic of the 'parents'. Not nice ! And no clothes either ! Not nice !

Im going for a lie down to try to get over the shock !!!

donnie · 18/07/2008 13:50

not sure whoch of the parents I detested more - the ghastly chav mother with the 'jewel' stuck to one of her teeth and the pathetic delusions of being good looking, or the thick spineless dad who said of his own daughter " she's blonde...and she acts like she's blonde". What sort of person says such a thing ? about their own child? Christ they should be spayed. that poor girl has no chance, nor the brother either.

ihatebikerides · 18/07/2008 16:28

Oh! Was that a jewel? I thought it was a bit of spinach.
And yes, pretty enough kid (minus the makeup) but not exceptional. And the smile was too fixed (didn't reach her eyes, as someone else said). Needs to relax a bit - movements way too stilted. Although it doesn't matter. Kids this age should not need to think about how they move. Felt sorry for all of them, in a strange way.
