Am I the only one who fell out laughing when that fugly old hag said, 'He's going to be attracted to me.'

LOL!

Melanie is a S. African.

OP posts:
Aarrgghh · 02/07/2008 21:58

so no one then???

theSuburbanDryad · 02/07/2008 21:58

Suzi clearly fancies Mikey! Or she's employing him because she wants her daughter to fuck him.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 21:59

It said Mikey is still seeking employment.

I guess when push came to shove, he just couldn't get it up over either Suzi or Emily.

OP posts:
theSuburbanDryad · 02/07/2008 22:00

Dh reckons Suzi offered him £15k or something as a "starting salary".

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:00

i think Melanie was right, though, in that she couldn't afford to pay even that.

OP posts:
theSuburbanDryad · 02/07/2008 22:03

Suzi was all talk. She didn't know what she was talking about and she made herself look a right twat in front of Max Clifford by not knowing what an NDA was (even i know that, i'm only married to someone in PR!!)

Piffle · 02/07/2008 22:03

she would not fuck him
she'd snap him

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/07/2008 22:11

Never mind not knowing what an NDA was, she said he knew Max Clifford well, then went and simpered all over him.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/07/2008 22:13

In the industry in which I work, I "know" lots of movers and shakers, they would look like Joe ordinary to you and I.

Thing is, unless you are seeing them socially you are only as good as your last meeting.

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/07/2008 22:14

In the industry in which I work

Cracking grammar...sorry pedants..

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:17

i'm not even in the industry and i know what an NDR is - from the legal field.

And Melanie did not say she knew MC well. She said she'd been in his office 3yrs ago with L'oreal.

Suzie was so far up her own arse she was knocking on her teeth! 'do you know who I am?'
Eh, yes, you're a woman living on a 1970s housing estate who plans to launch her multi million pound business without broadband!

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/07/2008 22:42

Peter's house was underwhelming too

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:44

Yes, you could tell Anne-Marie was really impressed with trailing those cables out the window.

Right there would have been the point where I said, 'I appreciate this opportunity, but unfortunately I'm looking for a business that's already operational in a basic sense and really don't want to waste any more of your time. Thank you and best of luck in your endeavours.'

Then gotten my coat and bag and had a nice, long coffee in Starbucks with my laptop - where they have wireless broadband - whilst searching for a new job over my venti latte.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:47

There are sewer rats in Edinburgh with more integrity that Suzie.

Arguably more intelligent, too.

OP posts:
bossykate · 02/07/2008 22:47

they were all jaw droppingly gob smackingly awful, but melanie was by far the worst. did some say she was professional? that level of aggression and rudeness is professional?

why didn't mikey take the job with suzi in the end?

bossykate · 02/07/2008 22:48

anne marie clearly didn't want a job as a cleaner/housekeeper/cook and fair play to her.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:50

'why didn't mikey take the job with suzi in the end? '

Because the dinner lady probably gets paid more than Suzie can afford.

She probably had to go into business for herself because she couldn't get a job working for anyone with that horrible attitude.

OP posts:
bossykate · 02/07/2008 22:52

no, no, i think they gave a reason at the end of the programme but i missed it...

or did i imagine that?

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:55

Well, no, as a former PA, I'd have to say I would have been displeased at being expected to wash my boss's underwear and hoover her stairs.

I did plenty of PA things: arranging for personal shoppers to meet her in shops of her chosing if and when she needed an outfit for an important work function, buying and wrapping gifts for clients or having them sent out, thank you notes, travel arrangements and ringing taxis, answering correspondence, liasing with other PAs about our boss's schedules, dinner reservations, tickets for events to entertain clients, and such.

That's what a PA does.

Not peel their potatoes at home and tell their ugly daughter they look fab.

If you can afford a PA, then you have cooks and cleaners to do that. And yes, part of my job was seeing to this casual staff, that they were paid on time nad taxes done.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2008 22:58

And any employer who starts talking about his or her sex life or asking you about your sexual orientation within the first hour of employment truly isn't worth a response, much less entertaining the prospect of working for them.

Please link to SUZI facebook page

Please tell me what a NDA is

theSuburbanDryad · 03/07/2008 08:10

Suzi's Facebook page

Her freelancers page (plus hotmail address - v professional )

Also had a look at the story about her Cuban husband - where it says she was the divorced mother of 3...i know Emily was on the large side, but I'm sure there was only one of her!!
