We know they have breakfast at the hotel - it's how Blunty got the butter for his nipples, he ordered buttered toast!

I just re-watched the last episode, and I thought Sharon very deliberately removed Kenny from the room to discuss theories. As in, was not going to say anything in front of (maybe just one of) the other people present.

If the murder succeeds, she will have her suspicions confirmed. Or be completely baffled because the one she thought was a traitor was murdered.

One or the other! 😂

Beachtastic · 21/10/2026 20:46

I'd have breakfast anywhere I could get my hands on it. I thank my lucky stars I'm not famous, because it would not be a pretty sight watching me tuck in and trying not to fall asleep instead of being charming and entertaining and attractive.

WonderfulSmith · 21/10/2026 23:08

It’ll be interesting if Ross doesn’t die and then runs off shouting about a murder in plain sight like the boy who cried wolf.

Anabolicanna · 22/10/2026 02:47

I really hope it’s not Ross. He’s one of the most entertaining!

CaptainMyCaptain · 22/10/2026 08:10

Did anyone see the clip of Prince William and Rosskemp the other day? PW touched him on the shoulder and said something like 'It's OK I'm not murdering you.'.

I think it’s a big mistake to have 2 Traitors in the room trying to do the task. It’s potentially too risky and they could both get caught out. It’s far better to nominate one to carry it out and “trust” them to get it done. That way if it goes pear shaped it won’t endanger all Traitors.

Edited

The trouble is that this is not a task they can control very easily. Previously they had to target someone and do something to show they had been murdered - e.g. kiss them, give them a drink, say something to them: it's reasonably easy to ensure that the deed is done. However, this time round they have to persuade someone, anyone, to yawn, and they can't guarantee that it will work, and it makes sense not to leave it to one person because it would be so obvious if only one person is yawning like a madman.

I assume the producers have something in mind by way of contingency planning if they can't get anyone to yawn at all. Perhaps we'll find out what that is.

CarlaH · 22/10/2026 09:18

I can't believe they really stay at the castle until midnight, especially if there is a fairly lengthy drive back to their hotel. I suspect all the timings are entirely different to what we are expected to believe.

ThatCyanCat · 22/10/2026 09:48

They certainly don't get much sleep, especially traitors. I absolutely couldn't hack it, especially with all the energy required for tasks and trying to think of how to play the game.

I noticed that it was only just getting dark at midnight in one of the episodes. But then it is the north of Scotland in May so it could feasibly be midnight (although they might film outside shots with just crew and not celebrities).

It all seems quite mixed up they dress for breakfast, do a task, do the round table (sometimes they change) the if they are seen chatting on the sofa they can wearing a completely different outfit. Do they take a full wardrobe with them for each day?

I heard they were all put up in a nearby hotel. But then do they all leave in small groups leaving the traitors behind (in which case it would be obvious) or do they all leave individually with traitors parked up somewhere or hiding round the back. Also how do the letters worked are all the rooms identical
or are those scenes shot from the castle.

CaveMum · 22/10/2026 11:23

As we are getting close to the end of this thread I will put up the new one before tonight’s episode to make sure everyone gets across as soon as we’re full up in here.

The letter room is the same room people go in to film their talking heads to camera, so presumably production is calling people off to film that throughout a day anyway and wouldn't be suspicious.

They take people out of the castle one by one at night, and yes they drive the traitors around and then back once everyone else has left.

sherbetlemonade · 22/10/2026 13:19

I'm not even sure that the turret is actually in the castle itself and can't help wondering whether there's a set at the hotel.

Oh, the timings are certainly not what they are made to look like. Richard and Marina on TRIE were talking about ‘breakfast’ probably being 12 or 12.30 some of the time, with having to convey up to 21 different people from a hotel a fair drive away, and suggested the ‘Death Parade’ mission would have taken so long to film that the ‘captured’ contestants, far from being kept away from the castle ‘all day’ would probably have only had an hour/hour and a half before the round table.

And yes, we don’t know whether the ‘diary room’ set or the ‘turret’ set are at the castle or somewhere else.

TessTickle0 · 22/10/2026 13:43

It always lasts looks fake to me when they pan away from the little window in the turret with the light flickering as the traitors are meant to be inside.

ThatCyanCat · 22/10/2026 13:46

I'm sure I read somewhere that the turret is a set built for the purpose.

The thing is the timings are sometimes stretched so that one show day might take place across say 2 filming days - it’s 10 episodes but 18 days of filming. I suspect that there are days when they film tasks and maybe have the round table on a different day

don’t have inside info - just working it through logically

JewelleryCat · 22/10/2026 14:37

@SorryAuntLydia that makes sense that they’d film lots of things separately because in the breakfast and round table, it’s the exact same clothing so maybe they do things like film breakfast then round table then have them get changed for the tasks

I wonder where they’d get changed. Maybe a trailer or something then get filmed walking out the castle

I suppose if they fail to kill someone then they could spin it the next day as another recruitment (assuming Claudia doesn't announce a failed kill at middayfast).

ThatCyanCat · 22/10/2026 14:51

They shouldn't be allowed to recruit if they fail to murder and it shouldn't be covered up either. It should be the penalty for failing. Claudia should tell everyone that they attempted to murder in plain sight and failed, and they can use this information as best they can.

Surely that would give the game away. If I were Ross or Jerry and Claudia said that I think the penny would drop.

sherbetlemonade · 22/10/2026 15:48

Has there been an episode on any series (UK or elsewhere) when the murder in plain sight has failed?

Good! Traitors have a massive advantage in the game and I think they ought to earn it by undertaking tasks which risk blowing their cover.

The whole point of murdering in plain sight is that they might get caught 🤷‍♀️ If the players know they tried and failed, that would set the cat among the pigeons as they try to think of who might have been trying and failing to do what.

I don't know. It all seems obvious to us as we know who the traitors are. I'm pretty sure if I were in there I wouldn't twig things easily at all. They've no idea what the murder method was meant to be; for example someone who'd been talking to, let's say, Bash in the kitchen could think back and decide that it was suspicious that he offered them a cup of tea!
I agree they should be told that the traitors tried and failed.
