I was thinking the same thing about Josh being a better fit upstairs. Perhaps with Jojo for his warmth and empathy if the contestants need consoling.

I think so too. Weight loss yes but tweaks as well, think she's had her teeth and possibly eyes done which she definitely did not need as she's absolutely stunning.

I remember that - she was told to stop saying yah as it wasn’t relatable - well she is a prema ballerina 😂😂 so wasn’t relatable

Josh has done live tv before on last leg - he is just the wrong fit - he is someone who would usually be ripping the piss out of strictly and be very funny with it - can’t understand why he is choosing to give that up to go all saccharine - it’s very odd

I really liked Josh, I thought he did so well. And is clearly thoroughly enjoying it

Just finished the show.

Loved Emma but didn’t see the need for the guy woth her - I genuinely can’t remember his name.

JoJo did better than I thought but I was very confused as to why he would start talking when the contestants were still running up the stairs after their dance. I assume it was some kind of timing/auto-cue failure 🤷‍♀️ And as for his outfit….. well the less said, the better.

I like the new male dancer, Mark….. you can’t beat a big, tall, male presence on the dance floor!! I tend to always have a preference for the couples with the tall, broad shouldered men, I just like their dominating presence, it just brings something ‘extra’ to the dance.

Overall, I think the majority of them did well this week! I was really glad to see Lacey do well!

I have two sons who love John the YouTuber so we were all glad to see him perform so well, it was a really lovely dance! (Possibly again his tall stature probably helped sway my feelings) 🤣

I didnt watch Delta Goodrem as I just cant take to her and I just know she’ll irritate me with her ringiness and “look at me” personality. I know that sounds harsh but I can’t be dealing with it. I was so disappointed when she got partnered with Kai as I love Kai so much and now I won’t be able to enjoy him.

Least favourites dances:

Sean-Wright Phillips - bless him.
Bethany Antonia - I missed the male presence.
Melanie - love her as a person though!
Cach - I agreed with what Craig said.

To be honest, there are so many dances to remember (I find the first few weeks quite hard going) that there are probably more that I wasn’t too keen on, but theirs are the ones that stuck out.

Overall though, I enjoyed the show and I like the majority of the contestants and the partnerships and the new format/presenters were better than I was expecting. I’m looking forward to seeing how it all plays out over the coming weeks.

I’m now going to go back and read the thread as I never read it before I post as I don’t want to be influenced in any way 🤣🤣

I'm wondering if next week they'll have Josh upstairs, with Emma and JoJo downstairs, then the following week have Emma upstairs, and so on. I thought I heard somewhere that they were going to mix the roles up a bit? But I could be wrong.
I really enjoyed the whole programme. Loved Lacey and John's dances especially, and Lawrence Robb is gorgeous to look at. Thank you for the threads @EineReiseDurchDieZeit x

I came to it late tonight - have been out with my teen all day - but I really, really enjoyed it.
I thought Josh and Emma smashed it.
Really, really good.

Loved JoJo's outfit. Loved him less upstairs but it did improve over two hours. Think he was told he had to remind people no vote but doing it as they went up the stairs was

was not as annoying as losing the rest of my post!! Dammit.

I loved Dani and Will
I was rooting for Bethany but song got ruined and is one of my favourites.
Liked John but that song also not sung well.
Cach would have done better with a wiser pro.
Jaime's pizzazz good but agreed with judges on both routines needing QS and tango frame and content.

The SCD Dance Fever was Graham Norton and the couple you are thinking of was Joseph and Sadie. They did lindyhop and also Gwen Stefani number where Sadie was a pendulum. Joseph also did Britain's got talent later on.

SYTYCD was the great Tommy Franzen who has choreoed many times for Strictly and is mates with Kevin from Grimsby.

4. wonder if the judges have been asked not to give madly high scores in the earliest weeks

5. Emma looks gorgeous and she knows how to dress unlike Tess Daly

6. Motsi also looks gorgeous

I'll say it again, Josh nailed it.

He wasn't at all awkward, he had a good laugh (with, not at), and he has really good chemistry with Emma.

Jojo, on the other hand, was fine. But not great.

Also, compare Emma to Tess. Tess did it for 10 yrs (?) as the main host, and was still humourless and a bit wooden.
Yet Emma and Josh did much better from day 1.
