I enjoyed Saturday I watched yesterday so Im just catching up, recording means I can Ff some bits, it is early days Josh I think needs to calm down he has an anxious energy that was stressing me a little bit, but first week in and I can't say I am missing Tess and Claudia at all.

Your memory of Strictly Dance Fever (which I had completely forgotten until you brought it up) also triggered a recollection of this. A bit sad to think that twenty years ago the BBC had the budget to go to Africa for a Strictly special but it would never happen now.

I caught up in 3 sections yesterday and wrote a really long post which vanished!

I really liked it.

Someone needs to sort JoJo out a bit, particularly his cues while the contestants are on the stairs, and he can stop perving on the male celebs.
Emma is lovely and a true professional. Surprised she was tanned after last week's comments.

Cach Mercer is the tik tok contestant.
Not sure why his professional teacher didn’t make sure he stuck to the dancing rules , but obviously something went wrong. I thought he was very good. The judges did not agree.

I think the producers play a big part in the music chosen and the routines they do. His pro likely had input but was not the only decision-maker.
I think the producers wanted to show off what he already does on TikTok so existing fans would enjoy it and a new audience would see what he did and what he's capable of.
No one goes home in Week 1, so they knew low scores didn't really matter.
I'm sure they also knew that a lot of the studio and viewing audience would find it entertaining and be behind the couple and disagree with the judges.
So I don't believe anything went wrong; I'm sure it was all deliberate.

I think the new pro got a bit.carried away his dance was fine, he didn't take the criticism very well i think Shirley had a point it wasn't a free style dance.

Craig was so off with Cach though whatever was going on!
Apart from Anton, they all looked a bit downbeat I thought. Maybe it had been a long day with rehearsals.
The entertainment correspondent on ‘Lorraine’ this morning said that the judges watch them do the whole routine in practice , so they know when it’s wrong on
the night , so loads of pressure on everyone.
