Doesn’t seem as if this new wedding of Max’s goes that well either. He’ll have to run off with Jack and Jack to rescue his adult children from possible death and will never get married by the looks of it!

I think that Max paid 8 k to Kim , not to mention the cost of the actual wedding itself and hardly anyone went. Kim’s was a much smaller and cheaper affair and the drinks and food then raided by Ryder and Jodie :(
Both weddings were a bit of a disaster.

I think we were supposed to find Kim's cheaper family-based wedding heartwarming. My heart remained stonily unmoved😆

I was a bit shocked by Ryder and Jodie’s behavior ( although why the community centre wasn’t locked up is anyone’s guess, but locking doors isn’t an activity the residents or the caretakers like to do much )
Is the centre saved now ? That went off the boil once Linda ditched Clive for Max!

Clive told Linda that the campaign to save the centre had been successful, and soon after she dumped him.

Oh yes. So the centre was saved.

Because he told her that it was the petition that swayed it, and Kim had said that Max started that. So she dumped him for community centre saver Max.

Bad choice.

At the moment, Jodie and Ryder seem to be popping up everywhere to absorb gossip but not comment, like a shit reverse Greek chorus.

I admit that I had to look up what a Greek chorus was and then laughed at the post ! Lol
I hope that Ryder and Jodie are soon gone the way of other EE family members who don’t tend to last that long because they become pointless or just bit parts.

When Ryder and Jodie appear on screen I instantly zone out so I have little idea about anything they say/do, but I noticed the other day they kept overhearing gossip. Hilarious.

Classics degree with a particular focus on Greek tragedy, sorry...😂

Just watched a summary of the first appearances of various Brannings on YouTube. They rocked up in 2006 and bizarrely Max looked older back then than he does now!

I hope Priya returns but the behind the scenes send off footage they showed suggested it was a permanent goodbye. She was obviously a very popular cast member and fan favourites do tend to come back so fingers crossed.

I agree that Ryder and the sister are dreadful, incredibly annoying and pointless. I didn’t think I could dislike anymore more than the talentless twins but here we are.

Twenty years of Max Branning and his various affairs and dodgy dealings. He really messed up Stacey :(
Best storyline was when he was working with Wayland that time and they wanted to make the Vic into flats.
That took a few twists and turns and made a change from sleeping around.

I liked Max and the Brannings for the first couple of years. But after that he felt wrung out as a character, particularly during the Lucy stuff. I think this return has been good so far but it is falling apart now, Linda and Oscar are leaving and Cindy will never look at him again.

So no doubt his storyline next year will be shagging Stacey yet again, and I hate their dynamic so I am really not here for that.

The Brannings were a rum bunch all round.
Jim was a racist ( at first) Derek died suddenly and rather dramatically after being with Kat. Jack and Jack has been annoying for years , the sister was another odd one ( can’t remember her name ?) sure I’ve left off a few ( not to mention Lauren and Abi and Tanya)

He is an interesting character played really well but for me Max is dominating the show a little. I would like to see more of Penny and most of the Hawkins family (not Ryder and Jodie).

Today’s episode was dull and I am tired of seeing Denise and her sad face because as I’ve said before there’s no jeopardy in her story so it bores me. Darnell isn’t suited as a donor for her but I’m sure someone else will be.

Maybe once NYD has been and gone , the focus won’t be on Max as much. I’d like to think that Stacey leaves him alone ( if she returns) but producers are obsessed with old storylines and characters and may well put them back together again.

There is no way they will have Max and Stacey in Walford and nothing happening between them. Even if they are not actually shagging, Max will be giving her longing looks and trying to.

I am fed up with the Denise storyline too. I has been done so badly.

Rumour has it, Max’s return contract is up in or around January.. not sure if they plan to renew or extend it or if NYD is the reason for his return.

Also, I still think Denise might not get a stem cell transplant and may be terminal come NYD. Not watched today’s yet.

Be sad to see Denise go, but she’s also been in it a very long time and maybe wants to move on. I’ve not read anything ( and know nothing )but playing the same character can’t be easy and she may want a change.

I thought the hospital told Denisie they had found a donor? I'm really confused by it, but i don't care enough, as it has just been done terribly. All the family congregating daily in the hospital etc. I'm not watching this week, I'm not interested in the Amy and Craig plot. I'll just keep up with this thread and watch once it's over, or if that plot runs through to December then I'll just watch over christmas for the new year episodes.

Darnell ( Denise’s half brother ) was a match, but today she was told by him that he isn’t one after all.
