I’ve a feeling the new family are being ‘ bedded in’
. It always starts off like that then once Kat and Alfie leave no doubt they will be used a lot more. I’m not that keen on any of them either , especially her nephew and Jodie who seem to be rough as you like. I know that Jodie has Noonan syndrome, but her antics at Kim’s wedding was low and seems Ned just has to bail them out constantly. Gemma is too much like Tina Carter and the mum is evil. 😈

Yes, I'm getting Taylor vibes, and we did get to like some of them.

Jodie's character is horrible so far, Noonan syndrome or not. And Ryder and Gemma are very irritating. The jury is currently out on Nick, who i still think looks like a squashed Joe Swash.

Kat and Alfie are only having a panto break. Steve McFadden had one last year and he was only off screen a few weeks, he was around for most of the Nigel storyline, presumably he did some pre-filming.

I wonder if the Hawkins lot will run the pub while Alfie takes Kat away on a break to recover. Rather than them take it on permanently?

At the moment, Jodie and Ryder seem to be popping up everywhere to absorb gossip but not comment, like a shit reverse Greek chorus.

I guess so in a week or so they can seem embedded and like they know everyone. Poor writing.

Shane Richie has been touring this month. I don't know if he'll go back to EE before he goes into panto in December.

Oh yes - the rat pack stuff. At least we shouldn't see too much of Alfie then!

But why them? They are all idiots, they burned down their own house, and none of them have ever run a pub!

I can see it happening (Ned doing a favour for Alfie) but it would be a very stupid move.

Oh I agree re stupid, but I could see it happening re living space for them and a friend of sorts.

Maybe they burn down the pub and that leads to the Ethan/Jimmy rescue situation and the boarded up bit.

Yes it would be one way to trash the place completely I suppose😂

Alfie and Ned met up and became friends when Alfie lived abroad ( or something like that !) it was a bit rushed that scene though!
Kat mentioned the cousin he knocked up and the baby ( Cherry). All forgotten now.

The pub can’t be burnt down ( again ) as the wedding reception with the pulled pork is being held there NYD. Obviously Max didn’t have the money for a posher venue this time around!

Of all the unbelievable things about the flashforward, I really cannot believe that Linda would get married on NYD, because it is the same date she married Mick (NYD 2016).

Agree that Linda wouldn’t entertain a NYD wedding with a reception in the pub as well. It is pushing things and she would say no to it all.
She seems to be the only one in the frame now though , but it could be a fake wedding? Not sure why or how , but Max is very unpredictable isn’t he.

Didn’t Cindy and Max have somewhere booked for NYD? Or did I imagine that?

They did have a venue booked , but didn’t Kim book it up as well and then changed it because of Dee? It was a bit muddled. We all went ‘ ahh ‘ NYD wedding , then it was Kim and Cindy on the same day at different places after Max gave them thousands to change it over to them ? I know that I was confused by all tbe chopping and changing at one point. No idea what happened to the NYD date.

I never understood that. The kind people on here tried to explain it to me I can't grasp what was going on.

The writers always make things more complicated than it needs to be !

I think Cindy wanted NYD and Kim had already booked the venue (as if Kim could afford it). But then Kim decided to bring the wedding forward because of Dee deteriorating. I have no idea why Max and Cindy brought the wedding forward apart from Plot Reasons. Didn't make much sense did it!

I remember Max saying to Cindy he had forgotten to pay the deposit , or some reason this like his venue fell through.
Then Cindy discovered that Kim had it and made Max pay her to swap. Kim then decided to bring hers forwards because of Denise! So they both ended up with the same date at different places, but why that happened was a mystery.
