Did you watch it on ITVx, I suspect you watched series 1 by mistake. I did exactly the same when I watched Vigil today on iPlayer, I was quite a bit in before I realised.

Might have done!

Blondeshavemorefun · 31/08/2026 22:55

Wow. She’s def a wrong un

she lied - she made out it was her friends fault and that he did something wrong (the one who died in the blast)

plus impressed cut through a cheek and got a battery out with out him crying or stilling biting on the trigger

and who is kidnapped

This programme is not good for my blood pressure but I bloody love it 😄

Joliloily · 01/09/2026 00:04

I’m really enjoying this, I love Vicky McClure as Wash. It’s great to see a woman having a strong lead role.

I think that DS Morgan has been got at and is being blackmailed into passing information onto the bombers.

I couldn’t resist watching it all and I swear I’ve got chest pain now!

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/09/2026 12:09

Yes I love this as well

I did wonder if being black mailed or her child held ransom etc.

Why /who would sell their good friend down the river and knowing they would die if open the door

I've only seen ep 1 and while it is far-fetched it is tense and gripping. McClure saves the whole thing as her acting really is top notch and I do like Haz I hope he doesn't come a cropper as so many of them do.

I couldn't quite undertsamd why the 2 detectives were stood outside a building as armed police were inside checking it out yet one twitch of a blind and they just blundered in. Seemed a mad thing to do and the result was not surprising.

Yes agree female cop has been blackmailed somehow, she was one of the good guys in the previous series.

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/09/2026 15:28

I can’t seem to find recaps which is unusual as usually reel mockery do them

I agree about Morgan having been forced into whatever she's up to. She looked very upset during the debrief. It's clearly a very sophisticated operation, maybe double agents at MI5?

Gloriia · 02/09/2026 09:33

Well I've seen episode 2 and yes it it's edge of your seat gripping stuff but just whyyy why would the baddies ruthlessly shoot the people in the car then fanny on with some complex device in the pc's mouth? They'd surely just want to get away, he wasn't armed.

I know I know we have to suspend belief but I hope they calm it down a bit. Kudos to the ambulance person who patched up the pc's self inflicted wound I think she may needed stitches but nevermind I'll let that one go.

Just dont kill Haz.

I binged the whole lot. Then went back to the beginning and have watched series 1-3. Easily my favourite series on UK TV

Joliloily · 06/09/2026 20:49

I’ve binged it, I couldn’t wait. 🤐

gingeristhenewblack43 · 06/09/2026 20:55

I have to confess to binging also 🙊

Gloriia · 06/09/2026 20:58

I daren't watch it. I saw a review of the series and it said the whole thing is like an endurance test Grin.

OP posts:
Romilicious · 06/09/2026 21:06

Vigil is next. But I feel Suranne will be disappointing after Vicki McClure

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/09/2026 21:10
