Very strange with Amy today. I agree that the top and push up bra doesn’t seem like her normal attire.

the80sweregreat · 05/08/2026 21:01

Amy needs a mum around. It’s hard as her real one died and Dee in hospital. Jack n Jack is useless with any of these things. Hopefully Amy will tone it down a bit

Southeastdweller · 05/08/2026 21:20

I just realised that it probably won’t be a grooming story because the BBC would have announced this by now as she’s a child and they don’t want people triggered etc.

South. Not sure whats going on with Amy really. I agree they may have put out a warning first.
Craig seems dodgy and the writers have changed her personality.

Shellingbynight · 05/08/2026 22:06

After today's episode I actually don't think Craig is going to blackmail Amy, I don't even think he is dodgy. He seemed very straightforward and was trying to do his job. It was Amy trying to coerce him (unsuccessfully) with her assets on display.

Amy is 17 btw. I didn't find it uncomfortable, I just thought she was being very dumb and she was lucky he shut her down. If they are going somethere with this it's more likely Amy will accuse of him something he hasn't done.

Lauren and Mark - ffs. What the heck is Lauren on about, telling him he has to leave Walford because their passion is so strong. No Lauren, just get over yourself.

I loved the scene at the beginning with Max under the blanket on the sofa. I suppose he couldn't go to the b&b because he didn't want to face Linda!

Peter and Cindy were both lovely with Jimmy, he's cute.

Eggybreadwithnuts · 05/08/2026 22:08

I read there is a huge storyline with Craig coming...duff...duff...duff

Alucard55 · 05/08/2026 22:12

Agree Lauren asking Mark to leave because she can't control herself is nonsense. She's a married woman with 2 kids he's a single man. What do either of them think is going to happen if they do bunk up? The excitement would wear of very quickly when Mark realises she comes with 2 young children.

the80sweregreat · 05/08/2026 22:18

Did you read my mind ? I was thinking that Mark is carrying on as if Lauren isn’t married or child free at least ! Where wouid they live ? Does he realize that Jimmy has special needs ( bless him) and Louie looked upset. She has to work too. He isn’t thinking straight and Lauren is just in a stew ! It is all very silly. Penny was right , but she’s in no position to lecture people really.

Eggybreadwithnuts · 05/08/2026 22:31

Who is Penny's baby dad?

Southeastdweller · 05/08/2026 22:47

If they are going somethere with this it's more likely Amy will accuse of him something he hasn't done.

I don’t think they’ll go that way - it would be too controversial, she’s still a schoolgirl.

In the episode next Thursday he offers her a shoulder to cry on after she has a row with Jack. Something is brewing.

Mostly agree with this. But still not appropriate for Craig to turn up at Amy's house whilst she is underage and alone. He was putting himself in a potential safeguarding position. Like he said, she should have gone down to the police station if she had extra info!!!

Alucard55 · Yesterday 07:33

@the80sweregreat We're thinking things through for them😂. Penny is right a live with vanilla Peet-ah or a live on her own with 2 kids.

Southeastdweller · Yesterday 08:16

Every so often, a scene in EE resembles the ending to a Scooby Doo episode. Today’s episode included one of those occasions.

Shellingbynight · Yesterday 08:36

@Meredusoleil when you think of all the dodgy things Jack has done as a cop, Craig interviewing Amy alone at home barely registers! In real life when cops visit people at home, they go in pairs. But of course they need Amy and Craig to be alone for plot reasons.

Can't wait for the Scooby Doo ending today!

Eastie77Returns · Yesterday 13:43

@Southeastdweller I was thinking of the villian in Scooby Doo who always says "if it hadn't been for you meddling kids" at the end of today's episode. It was cartoonish lol. Shelia is supposedly an educated legal professional. How does she think she will get Jordan, in a wheelchair, out of the country.

I actually enjoyed today's episode as for once there wasn't a long drawn out delay over revelations. I thought Kathy would hesitate to tell Chelsea about seeing Shelia in the prison because she would be worried about losing the money for Ian's appeal so it was refreshing that she told her straight away. I feel mean saying this but the child playing Jordan is..well, a bit limited in acting range. He just seems to blank and look expressionless all the time.

Mark packing up and leaving was unexpected. Pee-tah really is thick for believing his story.

I liked Jean's very honest talk with Priya as well. I think they could have a nice friendship, Priya doesn't actually have any friends.

Alucard55 · Yesterday 13:45

@Eastie77Returns has Mark left?

Eastie77Returns · Yesterday 13:46

Re. Craig, when he was interviewing Joel he told him that he was lucky to have parents in his corner as not everyone has that and then looked a bit sad. So I think he will turn out to be someone's long lost son/have a family connection on the square. I don't think he has any interest in Amy, he looked genuinely annoyed at her antics.

@Eastie77Returns has Mark left?

For now but he was seen in the NYD flash forward so guess he returns. But yes, he look the usual small holdall and jumped in a Black cab (of course) with a smouldering parting look at Lauren.

@Eastie77Returns has Mark left?

It’s apparently only a temporary exit as he’s in the flash forward NYD episode. Makes for good drama but he’s a fan favourite, so he’ll return.

Alucard55 · Yesterday 16:18

Hope he's back soon. I know his acting is a bit dodgy but I do like when he's being cheeky.

Me too!

Eastie77Returns · Yesterday 16:29

I think he’s by far the best looking guy on the square <hides from all the Ravi stans>😂

VivienneDelacroix · Yesterday 17:04

I was thinking the same about the Jordan actor @Eastie77Returns , it's almost like the TV pauses for a couple of seconds when he's supposed to be reacting to something.
It's a bit strange because he's also in a Netflix programme playing Rachel Nickel's son, which surely needs some sort of acting skills. Both the BBC and the Netflix casting directors must have seen something in him.

There isn't exactly a lot of competition is there!😆
I find Mark a bit like Ken. Their lack of personality and acting skills is a stumbling block in finding them attractive!

SorrellNightwind · Yesterday 18:00

i found Cindy very "am-dram" today
