Talking about casting Lilia Turner could easily be related to Lacey, I genuinely thought they were until I read an article about how the surname was a coincidence. The skater casting on a whole has always been good though.

I am surprised that Lilia and Lacey are not related as they do look alike and the same surname.
Scariest couple on the square would definitely be Eve and Nicola or Suki and Nicola! Lol
I hope Eve and Suki don’t split up though.

I find Eve as scary as a cheese sandwich. Nicola and Suki are definitely scary though!

I’d be wary of Eve though shelling! Inside for ABH and that whack she gave Nicola looked real enough ! Lol
She is more physical with the threats than Suki who only has to give that Paddington stare and people back down. Nicola is a murderer.. although it is a bit vague as to what actually happened with Shireen. Teddy warned Billy she was dangerous didn’t he.
Three women I wouldn’t cross tbh!

Eve isn't evil though is she? She might lash out, but she's quite straightforward. Whereas Suki and Nic are extremely manipulative including with their own kids. They would both put a blade between your ribs and then make sure someone else paid for it (in Suki's case, her own son 😆)

I agree @Shellingbynight, Eve is straightforward and I think she's often been the voice of reason with Stacey and with Suki. She's stupid when drunk, though!

I also agree with pp that Nicola is really good - her acting really makes some lines come to life, like when she does that rather sinister smirk before she threatens someone or tears them to pieces very quietly. So much more effective than the usual screaming and ranting.

Eve is the voice of reason , but she has a temper. She isn’t always the best at keeping it under control when she’s had a drink!

Suki has been bad with her kids too. I am surprised she passed the process to foster children tbh.

It is completely unbelievable that Suki got a foster child!

Laura Doddington is very good at the cold sinister Nicola (which is most of the time!) but she comes to life when she's showing her softer side like she did to George. Maybe there will be more of that when we see her with her sister.

I hope the sister and family are going to be good actors as well! EE usually likes to introduce new families with a bit of a dramatic entrance of some sort, or a (usually unbelievable) story about being on the run, owing money or similar. Just hope it's not a rerun of that.

Yes that is a point, why do the entire family suddenly tip up in Walford when they have not even visited before. When Teddy arrived with Harry and Barney they were getting away from trouble in Dartford (or wherever it was).

I agree that entire families showing up is odd. They are either on the run , loaded and want a change of scenery or maybe for work, but that’s laughable on EE.
Genma and Ned must work somewhere. I can see her as a salon owner , maybe she’ll buy into the salon as Linda wants out ( although that has gone quiet ) or Ned will work for Nicola , but I did read they may go after the Vic and if Alfie ( Shane Ritchie) is suspended for drink driving, it’ll be the ideal excuse to sell up and send him off to Australia to see Spencer and Kat ? Dunno , live with Jean ?
The other sister and nephew , not sure. Maybe his at college ? Either way, it seems they will all have to live somewhere and property is pricy there.

The Dartford mafia were after Teddy at one stage it seemed , maybe the same crew are after Nic’s family too? It’s far enough away I guess!

Which of Nicola's 2 sisters is the nephew's mum? Is it the one with the bloke or the single one?

Not sure if Gemma is the son’s mum or the dark haired younger sister Jodie.

There is a lot of online speculation that K&A lose the Vic. If that does happen I would guess Kat cannot cope after Zoe dies, which is why they leave. That big Slater house is practically empty, plenty of room for them!

I suppose Gemma and Ned could run the Vic. I'd rather it was Shaz though.

I like the idea of Gemma in the salon. Dee won't be working for a while I guess, and Linda is selling her share - I thought it was to help Johnny though, that was ages ago and surely by now he's gone bust!

Johnny turned down Ian because he was so busy but really he isn’t very good and Ian knew it and got the other man , who wasn’t that much better! lol
At least we are spared Lexi as they have all disappeared lately.
I hope Kat stays on. Maybe she’ll go back to the cabs and Alfie can go to Oz for an extended suspension ( holiday !)

I can see Rose like Ma Driscoll in Corrie if she gets the pub.

I may have already ranted moaned about this, but I can't believe they are going with yet another story of a parent losing a child (albeit a 40 year old child). It just feels really over-used now and they rarely do it justice IMO.

I had to look up Ma Driscoll , I haven't watched Corrie for years .
It's another "let's bring in a known face" but I think she would work (Pauline McLynn)

I didn't know about Shane drink-driving, 80s, I just looked it up after you said. He behaved like a total pillock. He's in court on 9 Sept. I would think he'll get suspended from EE.

The Prat Pack are back on tour for the whole of September so he will be disappearing off screen anyway soon. That could coincide with Alfie and Kat going away after Zoe dies I suppose.

Yep, I can imagine they will suspend Shane now.
I liked Kat with her Kat Kabs ! She can go it alone or run with Kathy. Kat will be devastated when Zoe dies.
Sad really , away for 20 years as well!

70s, I’ve gone back to Coronation street after many many decades away. Started last November as the new family came in it. They run the Rovers return.
It’s ok, I’ve no idea who they are or the back history , but wiki etc helps and the Corrie thread.
I remember some from the 80s who are still there. I
Prefer EE , but it is funny at times.

I just noticed you wrote ‘Prat pack’ ! Going by the goings on with Shane Ritchie, it’s about right.
I wonder if he’ll be able to carry on with that tour?
