I really liked it too, especially Rosa. I could have done without Dennis romance (trying not to post spoilers) but it was fun.

John Hannah used to act with A listers and now doing this! It wasn’t terrible, but I wished they hadn’t made it so cheesy with the big reveal at the end and everyone just sat there like lemons! Most people would have gone on the run!

Quoting myself ! I was wrong, this really isn't very good .

There's not much story to the episodes , making them not very interesting .

According to IMDB there are six episodes, and four script writers. One does three of them, the others do one each. It's not so much the lack of story. There could be way more absurdity, which is what I had been hoping for.

Oh yes, and if you have an episode involving action on either side of a hotel bedroom door, at least check the position of the door handle... (Ep 1)🙄😁

Well yea it's true that it's cheesy and there's a big reveal at the end which is very unrealistic.

But isn't that just what these programmes are like? Surely no one starts watching programmes like these expecting them to realistic. You watch other types of programmes for realism. And again, the ending is kind of what these types of programmes do. You accept it for what it is when you watch these things

Rosa is likable ! She reminds me of reps on holiday who do the aqua classes ! Friendly

E3 tonight

Yep- can’t wait. I love a bit of light water murder mystery and cheesy storylines

Different writer for E3 and I enjoyed it a lot more than last week. Cast settling into their characters better too. Villain might just as well have had neon arrows pointing at their head with 'I DID IT' emblazoned on them, but that doesn't really matter all that much, does it?😂

Incidentally, does anyone else have trouble with the sound quality? I have to turn the sound on the tv right up just for this one particular programme every week.

Can’t deny I was concerned about my hearing last night as a result of that and googled about getting my ears tested 😂

Luckily this morning I’m back to normal level TV volume and thought it was just some weird thing.

Turns out it was neither!

It’s decidedly cheesy and definitely not highbrow but me and DH are really enjoying it. When there is so much doom and gloom about something like this is great mindless viewing.

I do like the shots of Benidorm. Was last there in 02 , but it doesn’t look much different really.
I can’t work out how he manages to run a bar hardly anyone goes in and solve the crimes too. Multitasking !

I’ve been recently fitted with a hearing aid. I can now actually hear other programmes at a reasonable volume, but still struggled with this - thought my hearing aid was on the blink.

I'm really enjoying this although the latest episode not as good as the first two.
I've never been to benidorm but it's definitely how I imagined it.
Likeable characters and witty.
