The chilling storyline follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn, who is called to investigate when the bodies of unidentified young men start to show up – beaten and full of the anaesthetic Lidocaine.

She enlists the help of psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven to hunt the killer… And the team-up has all sorts of unexpected consequences.

The Crow Girl follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn and her partner DI Lou Stanley as they hunt for a killer targeting young men.

Welsh actress Eve Myles, 46, leads the cast as Jeanette. And she’s well known for her roles in thrillers, including Keeping Faith, Broadchurch, We Hunt Together, and Hijack.

Scottish actor Dougray Scott, 59, portrays Jeanette’s grouchy partner DI Lou Stanley. And it’s quite a different type of detective to DI Ray Lennox, the character he plays in Irvine Welsh’s Crime.

Popular actress Katherine Kelly stars as the prime suspect’s psychotherapist, Dr Sophia Craven, in the cast of The Crow Girl.

London-born actress Victoria Hamilton, 53, portrays Superintendent Verity Pound in The Crow Girl on Paramount+.

Doctor Foster fans will know Victoria for playing long-suffering wife Anna in the much-missed BBC drama, opposite Dalgliesh’s Bertie Carvel

As well as many other well known cast members

Well, I liked it so far. Plenty going on. But the weird thing is, I'm sure (well, not sure, really) that I've seen the three characters together (EM, DS, and the policewoman boss) before, but I've never had had Paramount, so if it's only been on that... maybe I'm conflating several different old series, I dunno.

Enjoying this , love the character of Eve Myles , snappy and says exactly what she thinks .

Also earlier this year in “Gone”, with David Morissey - he was the headmaster of a private school whose wife had disappeared, and he was the prime suspect. Eve played the chief investigating officer.

Matey didn't like it, then. He's not wrong that it's pretty cookie-cutter, with the usual cast of stock characters, but I didn't have a problem with the performances, and there's enough to keep me interested.

I’m enjoying this. Makes sense unlike the dark 😂
