Start next mon 20th.

On mon tue wed for 2w

New 6 part drama tho has been on paramount but I don’t have that channel so haven’t seen

Ch 5 are showing s1 as s2 starts soon - guessing on paramount again

The chilling storyline follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn, who is called to investigate when the bodies of unidentified young men start to show up – beaten and full of the anaesthetic Lidocaine.

She enlists the help of psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven to hunt the killer… And the team-up has all sorts of unexpected consequences.

The Crow Girl follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn and her partner DI Lou Stanley as they hunt for a killer targeting young men.

Welsh actress Eve Myles, 46, leads the cast as Jeanette. And she’s well known for her roles in thrillers, including Keeping Faith, Broadchurch, We Hunt Together, and Hijack.

Scottish actor Dougray Scott, 59, portrays Jeanette’s grouchy partner DI Lou Stanley. And it’s quite a different type of detective to DI Ray Lennox, the character he plays in Irvine Welsh’s Crime.

Popular actress Katherine Kelly stars as the prime suspect’s psychotherapist, Dr Sophia Craven, in the cast of The Crow Girl.

London-born actress Victoria Hamilton, 53, portrays Superintendent Verity Pound in The Crow Girl on Paramount+.

Doctor Foster fans will know Victoria for playing long-suffering wife Anna in the much-missed BBC drama, opposite Dalgliesh’s Bertie Carvel

As well as many other well known cast members

Presumably the implication is that she has had an intruder?

I thought it was that she had done it but doesn't remember.

There was quite a focus on Angela/Mary.

It would be daft for Sophia to have the same illness wouldn't it?

Eta Or was that why she was seeing Victoria?

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/07/2026 20:48

I assumed they saw Sophia as she’s a psychotherapist and studied split personalities

Yes that's what I mean.

Does Victoria have & "alter ego" & if so, who?

She does as that’s the recording we hear her listen to

Gave it a go. Didn't like it. I bailed after 2 episodes. Couldn't be bothered to waste any more time on something I wasn't enjoying....

A combination of being too hard to fathom, and too much going on. I like to enjoy what I'm watching, not have to work hard to watch it/understand it.

I also struggled with The Dark and have bailed after 2 episodes there too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2026 18:43

E4 (I think) tonight

Am enjoying this.

I like Eve Myles and this is much better than the one she was in with David Morrisey also set in Bristol.

Blondeshavemorefun · 27/07/2026 21:10

I will wait until a couple have been on this week as I am finding it confusing. I thought the bed wetting girl ? With father abusing her was a younger version of crowgirl but then they were in car together end last week. I think the cage fighting immigrants are the dead bodies. It’s too bitty and confusing. None of them seem real.

moto748e · 28/07/2026 00:13

Does Victoria even exist? Is she just some kind of alter ego? And who was Amar freaked out by, looking through the doorway? Mike seemed to assume it was Lou, but was it? I didn’t see who else was in the shot.

butterpuffed · 28/07/2026 18:19

Yes, I wondered who made Amar run off, couldn't make out who it was .

This drama is good , am enjoying it , but so many characters it gets confusing .

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/07/2026 20:55

Totally behind. Just watching last nights now

haven’t read comments or recap

Recap e4

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/07/2026 22:17

Oh wow. Just finished 4/mondays

@moto748e I was thinking this

that Victoria is Sophia ? Her alter personality and why things get moved in her home w d why she grabbed bf foot in the bath. As that was Victoria

and

was a black man and woman who freaked amar. Not Lou

so Victoria possibly Sophia has now killed Carl

tho if Carl was in danger why wasn’t he police protected in hospital

want to watch tonight’s now but tired

The hospital scene was a UK police series unbelievable trope. Seriously ill guy who should be in a well staffed multi bed ITU unit is in an unstaffed side ward just so he can get bumped off. It got sillier. Interesting though but total tosh.

diddl · 29/07/2026 08:12

I thought that with Sophia dealing with patients with that disorder if would seem a too far if she had the same thing.

I wondered if Victoria was Sophia when she was young & she changed her name?

butterpuffed · 29/07/2026 14:22

I'm missing something . Madeleine is in present time , Victoria 'disappeared' quite a while ago but they would have lived together so why doesn't Madeleine know her ?

And if Victoria is around enough to see Madeleine , they presumably live in the same town {?] so how was she passed off as dead ?

Confuuused 😲

moto748e · 29/07/2026 14:44

Have you not watched last night's ep, @butterpuffed ?

I did wonder what the age difference between Victoria and Madeline was supposed to be.

the80sweregreat · 29/07/2026 14:47

I’ve only just started watching this and it’s really good. I like Eve Myles and her sidekick and it’s well acted if a tad confusing.

butterpuffed · 29/07/2026 14:59

moto748e · 29/07/2026 14:44

I did wonder what the age difference between Victoria and Madeline was supposed to be.

I watched it when she was told Victoria was her mother and sister but I hadn't thought there was much difference in age and I still wonder why nobody found out she wasn't dead until the police stumbled across it .

Their father is vile and the mother has turned a blind eye to it all. Horrendous .

moto748e · 29/07/2026 15:06

If Jeanette's Dad was such a great copper, how come he wasn't more suspicious of the obviously dodgy Burkemans?

2Rebecca · 29/07/2026 15:45

I agree, Victoria should have been interviewed without her parents both initially and in "modern day" and why didn't they search that farm properly when they got suspicious of them all re the dead men.

Also dodgy?

Could be!
