The chilling storyline follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn, who is called to investigate when the bodies of unidentified young men start to show up – beaten and full of the anaesthetic Lidocaine.

She enlists the help of psychotherapist Dr Sophia Craven to hunt the killer… And the team-up has all sorts of unexpected consequences.

The Crow Girl follows DCI Jeanette Kilburn and her partner DI Lou Stanley as they hunt for a killer targeting young men.

Welsh actress Eve Myles, 46, leads the cast as Jeanette. And she’s well known for her roles in thrillers, including Keeping Faith, Broadchurch, We Hunt Together, and Hijack.

Scottish actor Dougray Scott, 59, portrays Jeanette’s grouchy partner DI Lou Stanley. And it’s quite a different type of detective to DI Ray Lennox, the character he plays in Irvine Welsh’s Crime.

Popular actress Katherine Kelly stars as the prime suspect’s psychotherapist, Dr Sophia Craven, in the cast of The Crow Girl.

London-born actress Victoria Hamilton, 53, portrays Superintendent Verity Pound in The Crow Girl on Paramount+.

Doctor Foster fans will know Victoria for playing long-suffering wife Anna in the much-missed BBC drama, opposite Dalgliesh’s Bertie Carvel

As well as many other well known cast members

Her dad sounded pretty grounded, but could have been a dodgy one maybe ?

Vincent was the farmer who the Burkemans sold the farm to. Jeanette spoke briefly to him in an earlier ep.

I was wondering to what extent (if at all) Jeanette was playing along to Sophie.

And again, is Jeanette a bad polis for not sussing Lou out earlier? It was made clear that there'd been other dodgy episodes in the past. I guess the moral is, we ignore the flaws in those closest to us.

I thought it was the psychologist from the start 😂 but it was a good watch, even if it didn’t all make sense.

I think most of us guessed about Sophia as she was just too odd to be true .

Wonder why Jeanette didn't follow up when she saw the tape with Victoria's name on it .

A friend has just finished Series 2 on Paramount and he said you have to see the first one to be able to follow the new one , so hopefully it'll be coming to 5 soon .

I hope so. I assume that’s why s1 was shown as s2 now out

I found this seies totally absorbing. Initially I wasn't sure but I recorded it to watch when I finished "Thr Dark." I'm annoyed I can't see series two as I don't have Paramount so I'm another one who hopes it eventually comes to 5

Just finished this. I don't quite get it. Who was the Victoria who met up with Madeleine? That wasn't Sophia?
I do have paramount apparently but I'm not sure I want to watch s2 if it's going down this route.

that was to show us V as a person but that she was really Sophia

Honestly, even allowing for a bit of 'magic realism', I'm struggling to see how this really works. Maybe it does on the page.
