That caught me out too, didn't realise about the channel change.
I'm not a fan of this "teamwork" challenge.

KittyHigham · 11/08/2026 20:37

Well the pairs challenge didn't make me change my mind. It has no place on sewing bee

KittyHigham · 11/08/2026 20:39

I think we're seeing this week that Tim is a very anxious person which is perhaps why he's coming across as abrupt or defensive.

EnterQueene · 11/08/2026 20:42

I can’t usually be bothered with the transformation challenge, the teams element made it a bit more enjoyable for me. I tend to discount it in terms of the final result in any case.

I agree, I like Tim - he was very warm in the teams challenge. I think Esme makes him nervous- no wonder!

TragicMuse · 11/08/2026 20:44

Free motion embroidery? That’s a whole other craft/skill.

FFS.

CaptainMyCaptain · 11/08/2026 20:45

Poor Minnie. She's having a nightmare.

SleepingisanArt · 11/08/2026 20:46

I'm not enjoying the made to measure this week. It's like a pattern challenge on steroids. We've seen some great sportswear in previous series....

TragicMuse · 11/08/2026 20:54

Given they can prep the pattern beforehand and have the same model each week, how have some of them not done an FBA on these shirts?

CaptainMyCaptain · 11/08/2026 20:57

Anna's shirt was far and away the best. I'm glad Minnie didn't go.

TragicMuse · 11/08/2026 21:01

He’s a friend of a friend - I haven’t met him - and I am assured he is utterly lovely. Very kind and funny. So yes, beware of editing!

unfamiliarwithyourwork · 11/08/2026 21:03

Minnie’s shirt was rather lovely. I guess a couple of hours work will remove the glue.

Anna’s was out of this world. I wonder if she just has extraordinary imaginative vision, or whether she does enormous amounts of research.

KittyHigham · 11/08/2026 21:10

I really enjoyed that made to measure.
Some fantastic designs! Beth's dog was lovely and Minnie's was so clever and striking. I'm glad she gets to stay. Anna's was incredible and a
I think deserved GOTW.

BookShark · 11/08/2026 21:26

Adele has just gone up in my estimation for being a Blackburn fan! But that aside, I think Tim was the right person to go, although I agreed with Patrick when he said Minnie should have tested her approach. I guess it gets harder as you go as you have so many garments to make, but surely you'd have at least one dry run of everything rather than just going in cold?

I still think it's between Rebecca and Anna for the win - more likely Anna although my vote would be Rebecca.

placemats · 11/08/2026 21:28

Love the tribute to Cilla 💕

Anna deserved to win.

Adiós Tim.

LilyLemonade · 11/08/2026 21:45

I liked Minnie's design M2M - strong, striking and well executed - but Anna's was a well deserved GOTW. Her creativity is really something.

I was surprised to find that I liked the team element in the transformation challenge. I thought Minnie and Beth's was the best - cohesive and dramatic.

macaroon8 · 11/08/2026 22:03

I love Esme's green necklace

Blueyblueyblue · 11/08/2026 22:03

It was Tim’s time to go! There’s some really fantastic sewers left, I love them all.

Binglebong · 11/08/2026 22:04

I thought the free motion dumbell was incredible. The rays didn't really work though.

UrbanSoul · 11/08/2026 22:05

I liked Minnies design the best. Shame she messed up with the glue.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 11/08/2026 22:34

Has anyone seen a pattern for Rebecca's jumper? It looks like crochet from what I can see of the stitches.

Sereine · 11/08/2026 22:44

And it was another example of a total waste of time and resources.

Was it this one? (I got a lot of sweaters for cats, looking for. It!)

Yes, I think that's it! Thanks @PickAChew

I wish there was a section where they told us what of the contestants outfits is handmade vs RTW. Not that it matters, it would just save me wondering for the duration of the episode / trying to spot fabrics and patterns that I recognise!
