Felix. Drag alter ego was Tara Misu i think. He was quite funny, but vanished, as did his brother a while before.

I liked Felix , the brother didn’t last long.

Felix went off to Spain with Bernie and some money she had stolen from Nish or someone like that.

Harvey isn’t even with Kathy much anymore. Not supportive and only around to take Ian to court!

Oh yes, that's right. Bernie was his last connection so it made sense for him to go too.

I never bought their 'can't keep their hands off each other' thing for a second.

I liked Bernie and her chess with Partick and the one who played a vet once ( can’t remember his name )
They ruined her character a bit after Ken died , but at least she got some revenge and went off with Felix.

I mean a vet in a different show, not in EE ! He was retired in that I think.

Wasn't it Jim Branning who played chess in the shed with Patrick and Bernie?

No, it wasn’t Jim. It was the one played by Christopher Timothy and had a wife who died of natural causes. A rare thing on soaps !

Ah, ok. Bernie was quite talented at it if I remember correctly. Shame she just stopped. They were nice scenes.

Bernie won a chess competition once. I liked her and Karen too ( I know people didn’t like Karen much )

I liked Karen. Although her bra strap used to make me want to reach into the telly and hoik it up.

Karen’s bra strap and wearing flip flops ! i wonder what became of their place ? They had that flat.

Yes, it definitely had stairs up to bedrooms, I've not seen that layout used at present.

I agree with you, I did not like those scenes, I found it all quite patronising.

I liked Kojo's date though, she seemed nice.

I felt sorry for her wingwoman, sat there on her own though.

I have a diagnosis of autism and ADHD,as do my children
Kojos character does fit quite well with someone holding down a job ,yet needing extra help communicating on a first date .
I wonder if people felt uncomfortable with the scene because usually in the media the autistic person is a lot more capable and higher functioning communication wise ..
Generally you don't see an autistic person needing that amount of help in the media ..and I thought that level of support and kindness from Harry and Gina is how I would like my children to be treated by their friends,(if they ever make any friends.)
The thing with autism is ..its so vast ,two people are never similar even with the same diagnosis
I actually thought it was beautifully done .
I also love how Barney is clearly autistic to ..yet it's not mentioned.. because that's also the reality..so many people out their raw dogging their autism..no support no accommodations but getting on with life .
Considering all my current complaints about EE I'm really glad to see to great autistic characters ,so vastly different.. because that's true to life.
But that's just my opinion..I'm not the voice of autism..I'm just a mum x

Yes, I think it was heavily implied with Barney ages ago then not mentioned since. As you say, good to have varied portrayals, both of them nice people but very different to each other, and just doing their thing.

I think two of Karen's kids were said to have autism, but they dealt with that by them not speaking much and being shipped off to their dad's regularly to give her a break. So it's a massive improvement.

I hoped that the wing lady might have been asked to speak to Harry and co , but maybe it was a non speaking part for her.
Ollie has autism too , but we saw him
briefly being bullied by Louie and not much else.
I like Barney , he should have more stories.

I thought she might sit with them, but then thought it would be awks if the date wasn't going well.
