It’s concerning how dead this thread is - there doesn’t seem to be a lot of excitement or buzz. The names are poor so far - has Tess and Claude’s departure killed the show?!

I had heard of of the first few announced but no idea who the last few are. I was really hoping they were going to pull out all the stops and relaunch with some really big names but nope.

I’m worried, Delta Goodrem and Lacey Turner are the only names so far @KitchenColourandstyle I mean Kim Kardashian’s hairdresser?! Fuck sake.

I hadn't even noticed they had announced slebs, until I saw this thread. It's a busy time of year, World Cup, summer hols, labour leadership. The One Show is on holiday, it's normally the Strictly launch show.
All very under the radar.
I'm happy to give it a go, but mainly because of Lacey.

Exactly. I'm holding out for the sports stars. Every single sports person that has done it has been a big name so hopefully we get a bit of quality on that front.

Its because of the weird start stop. Announced 4 then went silent for weeks it totally killed the momentum.

Yes, this is why. It's weird the way they're being announced - why so early? I like Will Best on Big Brother, never seen him on anything else.

I'll watch, but the only person I know so far is Delta Gudrem (and I'm not particularly interested in her). The way they're announcing names is very odd, really muted any excitement. If they're trying to get ahead of leaks what's the point, no-one will really care with these names anyway!

I think the announcements have been so underrated that there is no excitement build, no reveal on Bbc breakfast or random itv programmes,

I would have preferred them to carry on as they were. I loved the continuity of them year after year.

Tbf it was terrible she isn't a natural chat show host I think the Beeb got a bit carried away.

I’ve heard of Delta Goodrem and Lacey Turner - and I stupidly thought that they’d be beginning with the LESSER known names and building up to bigger reveals. But after those two, there’s just been a succession of absolute random Who The Fuck Are They names. The show has well and truly jumped the shark.

I heard the reviews for the first one and just avoided it after that. I’m not a big chat show person anyway, I just feel aggrieved that they messed around with the Strictly formula!

The reviews were awful. I love her sense of humour, but everything about the show was cringe. Just shows that you can be a hugely popular presenter and personality, but it doesnt mean you can do any presenting

Most series, there are at least a few total randoms, but the celebs tend to be lesser known/niche each year. This series could well be the last, if the new presenters don't live up to the hype and there are very few actually famous people, nobody will watch.

It’s good to branch out, but there are some people who should stay in their lane. Their lane is perfect. Their lane has been hand made for them. It has been woven especially for them by mermaids and unicorns who can sing perfectly. Venturing out of their lane will end in getting scratched by thorns, and sepsis will set in. So they should just stay in their lane.
