We're well into Spring 2026 now. CORONATION STREET THREAD. **No spoilers please.**

Can't believe we're on a new thread already. Filling up so fast these days!

Brief summary:

Todd has finally left the dreadful Theo, (after he badly beat up Todd,) but Theo is not keen on leaving him alone (although he has been told to by the police.)

Carla and Lisa (Swain) are planning on getting married very shortly.

Carl has been trying to extort money out of Summer for information, as he knows Theo killed Billy. (Summer knows this now too as Theo cornered her in the shop and told her as much, threatening to 'bury her too.') Summer is - very sensibly - not giving Carl a penny until Theo is arrested!

The ghastly Megan (Trainer) seems to have vanished, so Sam is relatively safe for now, but Sam has been having hallucinations and keeps seeing Will there - coming at him - when Will is nowhere near. Toyah, Leanne, and Eva have tricked Megan into meeting her (by sending a text from the burner phone Megan gave Will, and pretending to be Will...) Not sure what they're going to do when they meet her!

Ben Driscoll has just found out the man he knew as dad is not his bio father, and Jim McDonald is actually his father (so he is.)

The effervescent Debbie is declining a little bit more by the week, but is still in fighting spirit, and is seeing Carl for the parasite he really is. The gorgeous Ronnie is always by her side. Carl has just decided to cause a flood in Debbie's hotel by leaving the taps running in one of the rooms, after she told him he was very difficult to love, and refused to let him have half the hotel after he threatened to report Ronnie to the police for hitting him.

Shona's annoying sister Jodie is causing trouble all over the place! She's stolen Lisa's police badge, and a girl she uses to be a nanny for has turned up. Jodie is not happy about this!

Probably a bit more is happening, but I'm sure it will come up soon.

If a sender deletes a messsage, it deletes it for both parties. I'm not sure what app they are using though because on whatsapp is shows 'this message is deleted.' The show is definitely taking creative liberties. For eg, I didn't know that you could receive voicemails as voice messages, like Jodie did today?

Why is it in TV shows when they message someone, there's no history of them ever messaging previously?! Even if it's their partner or best mate.

Yep when Jodie probably kidnaps her! I don’t understand the Jodie storyline we’ve only been given snippets of what’s happened to her it is so boring I zone out when it’s on. I still think Christina killed Theo but we’re meant to suspect George

Summer’s acting very strange. A bit too over emotional about George. Feeling guilty maybe because it was her who killed Theo?

When someone sends me a voice mail I also get it as a message I can read.

I didn't notice, but I am now going to play last night's Corrie on the iPlayer and see!

I thought the same thing.
We had the same thing with Frankie and his life threatening illness and long hospital stay. He is now the Streets invisible toddler!

@Housewife2010 I have just replayed the scene where DS Swain calls and speaks to Christina, and Christina says 'hello... yes speaking!' So it sounds like Lisa Swain asked for her. When she says 'speaking' it does sound like a bit like 'Vicky.' It was 'speaking' though, as it said that on the subtitles too.

I also think it's odd that Harper and Frankie are never seen, as we've said it's the same as the quads. Why introduce all these children and then never feature them? 'The quads' was a really daft storyline, and I don't know why they keep bringing in these 'ill baby' storylines either. Also yeah, they don't mention Jorziff much!

Did Gary have a call from Jake last night? It must be time for Phelan's daughter to die and the child she had with Gary to return and be challenging.

Yeah, he said 'hello Jakey boy' I think?

And yeah, I forgot Phelan's daughter had a baby by Gary! In 2018. Yep, she'll probaby come into it in about 2-3 years as a bratty, wayward child whose mother can't handle her anymore, so Gary has to take her in.

I think Phelan’ grandson (Zack) serves as a good vehicle for when actor Gary wants time off. He goes to visit him in Bristol for a few weeks!

I know he was paying for speech therapy a few years ago. But he hasn't mentioned Bristol recently.

I bumped into a woman who had only ever seen me without make up and she said "You look well. You look really well" and I said "Oh thanks, yes, I am, I'm really good" and later realised I had my make up on that day. It does make a difference!

Why was Jodie smiling when she was sitting on the swing? What has she achieved? Discord between David and Shona?

God knows. And I kind of think “who cares!” Hadn’t she just received a worried message from Shona? I was surprised that she wasn’t annoyed at Shona mentioning the thing that happened with David as though she didn’t believe it.

I still don’t understand Jodie and why she is doing what she is doing. I’m not sure she should have been brought in

I wonder if they brought her in, but now they don't know what to do with her. I wish she'd just disappear again.
