This is what I've been wondering too... it doesn't add up. I think pp upthread might have been right that Gia either doesn't have 'receipts' (agree she couldn't have resisted showing them if so!) or has faked something.

I didn't know that!! (missed parts of the retreat episodes, got it on catchup atm) That's so disrespectful and must have made Rachel feel like a piece of meat, although she does seem too emotionally fragile for her own good.

It was shown on the After Party. They show clips that aren't aired on the main show.

@InertBird Rachel didn't know about it until the After Party. She didn't hear Steven say it and he kept it to himself. She said she would not have reacted the way she did if she knew that it was Steven laughing about it with Bec to start with.

Rachel said on After Party that after seeing the clip it all made sense and she could see why Bec felt it was ok to make a joke about it.

Ahhh... that does make sense. I haven't got round to watching much of the after party shows.

This is an interesting podcast where Bec talks about drug use on the show and some interesting background information. I think she came across well.

The After Party shows are good but a bit spoilerish.

No she'd have gone off at Stevo if he'd known he said it. I don't get announcing to the fucking world you've had a fumble anyway, I mean really, it's so bloody childish. I noticed he stayed very veeeeeeeeeeery quiet when they aired that bit!

He was very cowardly letting Bec take the heat and not telling Rachel that she had it all wrong.

I don't know, it's one thing someone making a drunken cheeky remark one-to-one and giving a quick quip back (ie Steven's "Who said it was one finger" remark) but that's a bit different from making a speech to the whole group about a finger-banging.

But I agree, don't bloody announce it to the whole group in the first place. It's all a bit "Michelle Andrews* in year 10 got poked round the back of the beach huts".

*Names changed for privacy - apologies to any real Michelle Andrews.

But Bec was making an ill timed and crass joke. Which she thought was ok to say as it was in the public domain as it were.

It wasn't 1-1 it was when they were all sitting together outside. Rachel didn't hear Steven but others did.

Yes! The added pressure of the cameramen and all the other crew filming. The crass joke announced to the whole group. The realisation that everyone had been discussing her getting 'finger banged'.

No wonder she reacted the way she did. Knowing that this was going to be shown to millions of people around the world and discussed (like we are doing!). Poor Rachel - it is humiliation x 1000. On a scale that none of us have experienced.

I have changed my mind about Stevo and Alyssa as well. They are both not as sweet natured as first appeared. Team Rachel!

I think Alissa is not as nice as she makes out. Stevo, no idea. He seems nice. But looks can be deceiving.

Dont know if been said up thread - I didn’t like how Alyssa gaslit her partner - publicly saying how she needs “more stimulation” operates on a “higher frequency” & basically called him out for being boring & then when he brought it up with her & said that hurt his feelings a bit she gaslit him.

I dunno her tone & attitude was v like when she forced him to get on bended knee at her on her wedding & didn’t feel real.
Maybe was all scripted? It didn’t seem natural how she said “it’s ok babe I’ll go out & fill up my cup getting blowdrys or beauty treatments or w’ever it’s fine”.
Surely if you want stimulation & more energy going to chill & have treatments wouldn’t be what you’d do? Weird. Either way it made him look like an idiot & I can’t at same time see him being ok for this pretend conflict to air - just for a storyline??
