So, I'm currently rewatching the NYD episode and now have some additional thoughts about it, now that storylines are progressing....

• I don't believe the pregnant person is someone Max is having an affair with. His wedding suit was literally hanging up in the same bedroom. And the scan was on the bedside table. All seems a bit cosy for an "other woman" to me. Someone he's protecting, eg Priya from Ravi?

When she's in the shower, he shouts that the police are here - as if neither of them are actually surprised.

• Lauren and Oscar are clearly unimpressed with Max, and are going to the wedding grudgingly, after "what he's done." Peter is NOT going, and Max is apparently lucky that Peter "didn't murder him," so Max has presumably done something awful to Cindy, hence ruling her out?? Or maybe Cindy forgave him (or at least pretended to) and is going through with it anyway.

• We know that Denise and Jack are having a rocky patch, as she "stormed off". Jack is staring at a wedding ring, but could this be the one from marriage to Ronnie, and he's just being wistful (as they were married on NYD too)?

• Lauren says that Jack has to "sort this out", as he has Ethan to look after. So, I'm thinking that Penny is in hospital or something, as opposed to dead, otherwise she'd have been a bit more sympathetic and caring. And I don't think the wedding would be happening if Penny had died? Her wording suggests he's facing problems, as opposed to grieving.

• Actually, the baby looked really tiny, so am I mad in thinking it's not Penny's baby at all?? Didn't she conceive last Hogmanay or am I misremembering? Could someone else eg Amy be pregnant?

• Lauren says to him, "Dad is not worth the heartache." Jack talks about his best man "replacement", ie seems he was the best man and cancelled. What has Max done to give Jack heartache? And why is Oscar not best man?

• Would Ian be best man if it were Cindy? And if Peter wasn't even attending? Could Ian and Elaine be together by then and the bride is Linda?

• Kathy asks Ian why he's best man "after what he did, everything that went down...? You and him...?" Is this referring to Lucy and Steven or something more recent?

• "mistakes were made" says Max. Lauren says, "then why can't your brother look you in the eye?"

• After Max is arrested, Jack says he won't help and that he's sick of him, as his life is one big game of "kiss, marry, kill". Jack is clearly fuming at Max. Could Stacey be the bride??

• Oscar points out that if it wasn't for Max, Ethan and Jimmy wouldn't be alive.

• Nicola has fallen out with Chelsea. And something has happened to her ankle.

• why does Ian ask Jack to phone the bride to tell her?

• Hang on, could there be two weddings???

I still think the baby is Penny’s one and they have all found out that Harry is the baby’s dad and that’s why Suki isn’t caring for him. She would be the ideal person with Eve unless they have a foster child by then and can’t do it ( maybe )
The pregnant lady must know that Max is getting married. Seems the whole square knows and are going ( Peter isn’t , but most of them are it seems)
Whoever she is she knows max. Might even be a new character? It is a mystery.
Gun person could be Ravi if the woman in bed is Priya.
Could be anyone though. The NYD episode didn’t tell us much really, but we know who mark is now ! ( green jacket man NYD )

Yes re the baby. But was it Hogmanay they slept together? In which case, the due date would be Sept, but the baby looked younger than that to me.

Another thought, the Vic window is being boarded up that morning, so something must have happened either in the pub during the Hogmanay party, or outside on the Square which resulted in the window being broken. The Vic didn't seem to be damaged inside, though, so something happened on the Sq?

I did post a while back, when i watched it for the second time, but i did notice more today, on 3rd watch. Eg i hadn't previously picked up on Jack's fury and disgust at Max.
So, wondering why he's personally and particularly offended on this occasion. I don't think Denise would get involved with Max, but it does seem to be personal to Jack.

I forgot too, D's phone buzzing, and Libby being back. Libby looked at the phone and eye-rolled, and said "Look who it is."

D seemed to have very "bridal" shoes, so possibly mother of the bride? Might also explain Jack's fury, that Max goes after all of Jack's exes.

Chelsea wouldn’t sleep with max

She prob eye rolled as Jack ringing

Blonds. Chelsea is seen faffing about with a vail NYD and is one of the brides ( it’s made to look that way anyway )
Might be a red herring of course, but i wouidnt rule it out entirely. Max likes a younger pretty woman.
