Yes, while i don't have a problem with genesis of the first baby (I very much do with the second), the timing is completely off, and the timing of the first was arranged, so he shouldn't have applied to be on the show and done that at the same time. It's not fair on Sam.

DH read an article that said the producers had had a hard time getting couples this year. A few grooms were ejected after dubious backs were discovered during the ixperiment and a lot of heavy editing was necessary to remove all traces of these marriages. It’s all so prescriptive these days. Who’s going to have the “affair”?
