Jules is triggering me! @paininderrierre you’re right he’s harmless. And I think Juliette knows this and gave it a go. But I think she already knew at the wedding he wasn’t “enough”. The speech’s were all about him.
She’s being rude because she tried subtle and having conversations and it’s just lost on him.

Yep, pretty sure he knows he said something along those lines (e.g. Gia asked him if she’s his ‘usual type’ and he didn’t say no, but maybe smiled or joked, at v least).

Gia interpreted it as a yes because it wasn’t a hard no (and she expects that - Exhibit A: Scott’s ex photo). Dananconda’s telling porkies because he thinks he can get away with it. Because Gia’s discredited (his words) as a mean girl stirrer.

IMHO he’s proper messing with Bec’s head, making her feel (and act) unstable. First, the obliging honeymoon sex. Followed by total withdrawal, eyeing up another woman, saying there’s no sexual chemistry. Then, ‘trying’ by shagging her again. But still not giving her any real feels or reassurance, just jokes and ‘getting on’.

Bec knows he’s not into her. But her head’s a mess because he tells her he is, as well as shagging her.

Can’t believe I’m saying this but Tyson is actually quite cute (handsome even) and appealing especially when he smiles. You can tell in the hug he just wants a nice woman.

Agree. His views are horrid. BUT I think he just wants a nice girl to love him. If he can get his head out of his arse and stop talking absolute bollox I think there is hope for him and Steph. I think the chemistry between them is high - I really reckon they shagged after that - I think they were both really feeling it, and I think he was getting all nervous and shy around her cos he likes her (the whats the difference between tea and coffee?) i just think he was nervous cos hes into her now.

Gosh, I could not get past his hideous view of women no matter how much chemistry there was (he also looks like a far- right supporter). Steph is also weirdly controlled in her behaviour. I just don't get the pair of them.

People can change though. It’s his upbringing and conditioning has caused his views, a bit inbred.

You can definitely tell he just wants love and a family. He probably has found it hard to meet women but his family’s views are so ingrained and he probably feels he can’t change as it would affect their relationship.

I totally agree. I changed my opinion of him in that episode. He went from obnoxious to just a bit of a puppy wanting love! I hope it continues. He and Steph do have chemistry.

Tyson is very clearly not being authentic with Steph, he just didn't like having his arse handed to him at the commitment ceremony. He's doing what Mel did before with Luke.

Steph unfortunately fancies him a lot which is why she's overlooking his behaviour- which is inexcusable.

I agree that Bec is clearly damaged and unwell but I don’t think that means she gets a free pass.

The weird behaviour off camera trying to get in with Gia , sending her selfies and nastiness about other women is nothing to do with her insecurity with Danny.
Gia also said she’d claimed to believe her about Danny but didn’t want to admit it and leave the show.

I think Gia is vile and exploiting Bec but I don’t think she’s making up the weirdness, I wonder if they formed some alliance to create drama.

Either way she has obviously actively been trying to get dirt on Alyssa to bring her down and that’s as mean girl as anything Brook and Gia have done.

i agree that it’s really not nice of Bec to be trying to dig up dirt in Alyssa. I wonder what are the chances of two brides or grooms on the show knowing each other. I wonder if they cast Bec and then the producers - knowing full well her insecurities about her appearance and possibly some of the background to how she lives in Adelaide - went looking in Adelaide for someone she vaguely knew who was Barbie style pretty, full of positivity and then when they found Alyssa gave her the match of David knowing they would likely make a strong couple to off balance Bec even more.

It just seems like it couldn’t be a coincidence they know each other and moved in the same circles in Adelaide.

Is Adelaide a big state? I’m inclined to believe Alissa when she says she’s only met Bec once but I’m sure they know of each other through friends of friends and Bec seems to be the type who’d dig up dirt and find gossip out, sorry Bec. Alissa may well be the same but just hiding it. Social media it’s so easy to stalk and spy on each other. Bec is apparently upper class not that they have that in Australia, she goes to the races and so on, socialite. She also lived in London. Her dad owns a nightclub. So very likely Alissa and her friends crossed paths with Bec. Alissa is an influencer as well as a nurse. My Aussie friend doesn’t know much about state or interstate gossip but she knows a bit about Cairns (Brisbane) gossip as she lived in Kuranda (rainforest) and went to uni in cairns. Her friends are my age though, 50ish. She visits her dad and friends once a year from where she lives in Switzerland now. And brings her family.

The researchers on the programme may well have searched for connections between Bec and Alissa. To make good tv. My Brother works in tv (less now) will ask him if that’s what they’d do. Small world though.

Adelaide is a city with 1.4m population. It’s in the state of South Australia. If Bec’s dad owns a nightclub in Adelaide it’s possible both Bec and Alissa frequent it and are well known in the city as socialite / influencer.

I can imagine Alissa thinking Bec is just someone she met a couple of times at events but Bec being driven by her insecurities to try and find out about Alissa hoping that her life isn’t as perfect as it seems on social media.

I normally watch it in the morning after recording it so I can knock all the ads off. I was so bored of it I only watched up to Bec and Danny's relatives coming round and having the same old boring conversation about what he'd said to Gia/not said to Gia. How many times have we seen that played out now? Must be 3 times per episode at least.

For most people a comment about ‘usual’ type would be neither here nor there and would be forgotten about. But Gia and Becs have blown it up into something huge beyond all proportion. Surely if they are on there for love then it’s because their usual type hasn’t worked out for them previously.

Blimey @IAmKerplunkdon’t start coming at us with logical thinking. Bec can’t think like that - she is a mass of insecurity wrapped in very thin skin. All she sees is Gia dressed to the nines and saying that Gia is everyone’s type and Bec believes it because deep down Bec thinks that Bec is no one’s type.

Even if the accusation about what Danny said had never been made she would have found some other thing Danny ‘did’ to be insecure about. Remember on honeymoon when they had a row about someone he had apparently been checking out when it looked like all the other woman did was walk past?

Gia and Bec put targets on each others backs from the Hens night. Both said to their grooms about that woman they didn't get on with, referring to each other. Danny knew that Bec did not like Gia, it would be madness for him to say to Gia that Gia was his type. Drunk or not.

We have had people that know each other before -

• Last series Jeff and Ria had dated for a while then broke up; at their wedding their faces were a picture!
• There was a couple from a series a while back who had had one date and he ghosted her; they pretended not to know each other at the wedding but she told the producers after that they had dated.
• Awhina's twin had dated another of the grooms
• At one of the weddings on a previous series someone on the grooms side knew people on the bride's side.

Mad really, with Australia being as big as it is.

I still don’t believe Danny said it - or if he said anything resembling what Gia is accusing him of it is because she lead him down that path. I think a pp got it right - Danny is Gia’s type plus she dislikes Becs so had a good reason to feed into Becs insecurities.
