I've just realised what he reminds me of. An advert for Just For Men hair dye.

I've just realised my husband is late 50s but to my mind Silver Fox is older than DH. When I first saw him (SF), I definitely didn't think "only 5 years older than me". So I'm suspicious, too, now.

I thought as you get older, "old people" start to look younger. So seeing a 60yo when you're 20 makes them look older than 60 to you, but seeing a 60yo when you're 45 makes them start to look younger than their age. The fact Silver Fox feels closer to my parents in age, despite an apparent 5-yr gap between me and him, says a lot.

But the producers must check the cast's ages surely? I know they don't seem to do much, but they must check they are who they say they are and easy details like ages.

Or they'd be people in Australia who recognise him saying to the press/FB "oh, it's Bob from school, he's 58 like me not 50" etc.

My SonIL is 50 and looks of a totally different generation to Greyfox. Ditto in his attitudes, thank goodness.

Would be interesting to have e.g. two older couples on the show rather than just the one - see how the alliances pan out. And like maybe one older person who is 65 but looks 45 and one who is 50 but looks 70

My youngest BIL is 50 and he looks twenty years younger!

As a fiftysomething I'd like to see more than one older couple too. Always seems like patronising tokenism when there's just the one, and probably quite isolating for them among a bunch of younger people. Plus the programme seems to be watched by quite a broad spectrum of ages so it'd be good to see that being reflected a little more.

A totally different set of considerations when starting a family isn’t an important factor.
The photo challenge would be way more interesting too. Do fake boobs or a six pack still make you hot at 60?
