with the lobsters I suddenly remembered hearing about them being cooked live and then squeaking when they go in the pot - I’m really upset now 🦞

Its the air escaping from their shells. Think they stun them by partially freezing them before they kill them.
Lobster coral and brain butter is delicious.

I've always wondered about the health and safety aspect of those high up ovens and salamanders, etc. They just seem so dangerous in terms of spilling scalding hot food all over yourself.

I seem to be forever rescuing bees in the last few years. Bumbly feckers can never find their way out of an open window and then you have to give them sugary sustenance.
