new 6 part series stars Eve Myles (https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/uk/lifestyle/a65948077/best-eve-myles-dramas/) (Keeping Faith) as gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, who's investigating the mysterious disappearance of Bristol woman, Sarah.

And the chilling twist is that Detective Cassidy’s main suspect is Sarah’s husband, Headmaster Michael Polly, who's played by none other than Sherwood's David Morrissey. Genius casting indeed!

Gone is a chilling mystery focusing on local Headmaster Michael Polly, played by David Morrissey (The Long Shadow, Sherwood), who becomes the prime suspect in his wife Sarah’s disappearance.

An upstanding member of the community, Michael Polly is inscrutable and likes order and precision in his working life.

Until, that is, he encounters super bright, gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, played by Eve Myles (The Crow Girl, Hijack) and a compulsive game of cat and mouse begins as she chips away at his veneer in search of the truth.

Beneath the surface of the mystery, lies a deeper exploration of trauma, trust and the legacy of elite institutions.

The series also stars Jennifer Macbeth, Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, Elliot Cowan, Billy Barratt, Rupert Evans, Jodie McNee, Oscar Batterham and Clare Higgins.

Maybe Dylan was right that it was aimed at his dad?

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/03/2026 21:45

Bastard Craig.

SydneyCarton · 22/03/2026 21:46

I’d be surprised if a private school senior leadership team was actively trying to antagonise a parent

PrincessScarlett · 22/03/2026 21:46

Craig is unhinged. It's terrifying that he's a police officer.

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 21:54

Billy Barratt Is a really good actor

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2026 21:56

Craig is a total utter nutter

Paul is manipulating Alanna.

PrincessScarlett · 22/03/2026 21:57

She was scared of him. But we don't know him is Michael.

Exactly. Paul is a wee shite.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2026 21:59

Alana now thinks it’s her dad

I don’t but I say that from e1

Why did he not deny it to his daughter though?

PrincessScarlett · 22/03/2026 22:00

Oh shit. Hope Michael isn't doing what I think he's doing ☹️

Maybe he was upset that she would ask him that?

We find out tomorrow

It’s all getting a bit annoying for me now, we just keep going round in circles with Michael looking moody and Dylan getting angry and Alana on the verge of a breakdown. These Lamont brothers, are they supposed to be suspects in Sarah’s murder or in the cold case?

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/03/2026 22:04

4 episodes would have been better.

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 22:05

Yeah it’s been dragged out so much

Pepperedpickles · 22/03/2026 22:05

So bloody boring. Feel like I wasted hours of my life on this.

AlwaysRightISwear · 22/03/2026 22:06

I think the Lamonts were Annie's suspects on the cold case. Bit of they wee convicted for something else presume DNA was taken so.prob not guilty of this?

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2026 22:10

So do we think the same killer killed both

Yes. This really has dragged so much. It should have been condensed down as it’s lost any oomph and I just want it to end now.

They should have left this part out. There seems to be no connection between the two cases except for Annie.

AlwaysRightISwear · 22/03/2026 22:42

There has to be some connection. But only one episode left to wrap it all up.
