new 6 part series stars Eve Myles (https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/uk/lifestyle/a65948077/best-eve-myles-dramas/) (Keeping Faith) as gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, who's investigating the mysterious disappearance of Bristol woman, Sarah.

And the chilling twist is that Detective Cassidy’s main suspect is Sarah’s husband, Headmaster Michael Polly, who's played by none other than Sherwood's David Morrissey. Genius casting indeed!

Gone is a chilling mystery focusing on local Headmaster Michael Polly, played by David Morrissey (The Long Shadow, Sherwood), who becomes the prime suspect in his wife Sarah’s disappearance.

An upstanding member of the community, Michael Polly is inscrutable and likes order and precision in his working life.

Until, that is, he encounters super bright, gutsy Detective Annie Cassidy, played by Eve Myles (The Crow Girl, Hijack) and a compulsive game of cat and mouse begins as she chips away at his veneer in search of the truth.

Beneath the surface of the mystery, lies a deeper exploration of trauma, trust and the legacy of elite institutions.

The series also stars Jennifer Macbeth, Arthur Hughes, Nicholas Nunn, Elliot Cowan, Billy Barratt, Rupert Evans, Jodie McNee, Oscar Batterham and Clare Higgins.

The deputy head guy and the female teacher are dodgy as fuck. The way he kept looking at Dylan, something is not right there.

Yep

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 21:24

I can’t stand Craig 😖

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/03/2026 21:27

He's a science teacher and also taken over the rugby coaching. Deputy head is a different person.

Whose is that key? It looks important.

And who are these Lamonts?

PrincessScarlett · 22/03/2026 21:30

I'm wondering if deputy head killed Sarah to get Michael out the school 🤷🏻‍♀️

dapsnotplimsolls · 22/03/2026 21:31

I bet that piece of evidence was vital - the one that she was looking at when the phone call came.

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 21:31

Looks like she has found the address for the key?

Me neither Hes deliberately trying to undermine her confidence

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 21:35

Why is Dylan doing the exam by himself?

AlwaysRightISwear · 22/03/2026 21:37

It's a special test just for him to let him stay on the rugby team.

AlwaysRightISwear · 22/03/2026 21:37

Wrong key.

Why is Dylan doing the exam by himself?

It's a test just for him to prove himself. Not a proper exam. I think the school wants him to fail. Lovely Mr Polly helping him study.

Well done Dylan for standing up to horrible dad.

JenniferBooth · 22/03/2026 21:41

they were going to fail him no matter what he wrote on the exam paper

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 21:41

I’m guessing the deputy is a big fan of Churchill

Well there is something quite sinister about the way he wants to run the school. I think there is going to be some massive back story unrelated to Sarah's murder but to do with the school.

SydneyCarton · 22/03/2026 21:44

I’m also not clear on the motivation for kicking Dylan off the team, unless the idea is that the team lose without him and Michael is so demoralised that he resigns.

Just in case we didn’t get it that Craig is a weapons grade arse

JaneJeffer · 22/03/2026 21:44

Put it through the letterbox you stupid prick
