I’d love to see a programme at the end where Marcus and Monica (and Matt?) have to face the skills test like the contestants. It wouldn’t have any jeopardy but would like to see their take.

Maybe a range of tests when the they and producers decide which to use for the competition.

I’m still seeing a younger Monty Don about him.

I've seen him in Saturday Kitchen, I find him a decent presenter and chef, good at explaining - which is his job on MC, after all. He's better than the shouty greengrocer and can explain in simple terms while understanding the cooking process - which is a bonus.

I do think Gary, being a educator, would be excellent as the presenter. But he probably needs a bit more experience of broadcast presenting.
