Suddenly got a reminder via my digi box telling me I had this to look forward to next monday.

And just thought given responses to last series would alert others to this tv event.

Am looking forward to the high level of quirky comments as in response to the last series ... https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/telly_addicts/4980624-silent-witness-news-series-for-2024-starts-tonight-what-will-our-multi-tasking-pathologists-get-up-to-this-time

Silent Witness

Forensic pathologists face personal and professional challenges in a moody, tense thriller that moves from the crime scene to the lab.

we aren't missing any. They just swapped them with the ones aired the week after.

"The Enemy Within" was originally meant to be 3/4, but was swapped with "Creekwood" which was originally 5/6.

Edited

Creekwood has never been broadcast.

That is the point.

I thought that Creekwood had aired instead of The Enemy Within?

ChillingWithMySnowmies · 09/03/2026 08:28

Creekwood did air. It was the one about the old guy woth the screwdriver through his eye socket.

All of them aired.

NewAgeNewMe · 09/03/2026 08:31

They didn’t air in order, but think they did air. They are on iPlayer anyway.

diddl · 09/03/2026 08:52

According to the BBC website they have all been shown.

Well that isn't what my recordings show. Or at least showed as I deleted them and moved to iPlayer.

In which case each week I have been responding to a different programme that the one broadcast that week!!

ie I watched them via iPlayer in the order they were meant to be shown, not as shown.

iplayer has them up in the order that they were shown.

oh dear - they maybe now, but at the time I went to iPlayer because the broadcast had been cancelled they weren't.

So they may be re-ordered now.

This is getting really boring.

All have aired, I know as I've seen them, and I can't use iPlayer due to not being in the UK.

Least this explains why you thought my question about Creekwood was a spoiler

Still don't know the answer to it 😂

What was the question?

What was the question?

I wanted to know what Vincent's motivation for killing the doctor. I got thatTommo thought he was helping the doctor, but what was Vincents motivation for setting that up?

Same with Ryan. Why did Vincent kill him.

The worrying thing is Creekwood was properly the one I understood the most 😐

you talked about watching creekwood earlier in the thread. you watched it on iplayer.

I watched it on TV

It was the second week. The Enemy Within was the 3rd week.

i'm not sure what has you so confused.

ChillingWithMySnowmies · 09/03/2026 21:48

for anyone else confused. The BBC Terrestrial Schedule for those watching on TV pace.

Ep 1/2 was The Disappearance of Alice Hill. It aired 2/3 Feb

Episode 5/6 was Creekwood. It aired 9/10 Feb (screwdriver in eye socket ep)

Episode 3/4 was The Enemy within. It aired 17/18 feb (stupid AI ep)
These were flipped due to the incident in Birmingham.

Episode 7/8 was Grace of God. It aired 23/24 Feb (prison one)

Episode 9/10 was Shame which aired 2/3 March. (tech bro/hong kong political crap)

All eps have aired, none have been missed.

I thought it was just with stuff being shown out of order but now they’ve all been on it feels like there were lots of holes/unresolved things from each week this time.

I much preferred Nikki and Jack when they were just workmates. The relationship really doesn’t work IMO.

All the voiceovers this week with Harriet and Nikki felt very odd too. Almost like the writer had thought they were writing for Call the Midwife or something instead. Actually is it new writers this time? That would explain why it all feels a bit different.

The dr left Tommo half of his estate so presumably was to get that.

Vincent & Tommo shared a bank account so Vincent would have access to it.

Tbh I'm not sure about Ryan!

Did he realise what Vincent & Tommo had done?
