Siobhan looks great she seems to have found a style that really suits her

She really does look great, kept her quirkiness but more sophisticated. Great hairstyle too

Just started watching and Naveed looks familiar. Is he the same guy from a Wren kitchen advert who closes a kitchen drawer with his hip? I definitely shouldn't be this knowledgeable about kitchen adverts.

He is an actor and had a small part in the last Bridget Jones movie. I coincidentally watched it recently and I noticed him then. I think he was in Survivor too.

TheExtraGuineaPig · 18/01/2026 20:36

These are all amazing

AlwaysRightISwear · 18/01/2026 20:37

They all look lovely. The test will be the pour.

SabrinaThwaite · 18/01/2026 20:43

Keith’s off already 🤣

AlwaysRightISwear · 18/01/2026 20:45

I misunderstood, I thought you still poured it.

TheExtraGuineaPig · 18/01/2026 20:47

Looks like Whitney's going... Kayleigh's is great

TheExtraGuineaPig · 18/01/2026 20:49

Oooh the last two have been amazing!!

Chrysanthemum5 · 18/01/2026 20:57

That is a shame I thought he had a lot more to give

Paperwhite209 · 18/01/2026 20:58

Meh...two of my favourites gone two weeks running.

SabrinaThwaite · 18/01/2026 20:59

Love the big red dragon on Angharad’s jug.

And next week it’s raku!

elgreco · 18/01/2026 21:51

Loved Andrew's. Dont think brown is a great look, so didn't like Fynns.

elgreco · 18/01/2026 21:52

Or the cow one, other than the cows themselves.

EnterQueene · 18/01/2026 22:19

Mark is so lovely, but they did say his was the only jug they couldn’t put water in, so it was fair.

Univerallyuniversal · 18/01/2026 22:45

Some really lovely jugs tonight, but Angharad definitely deserved potter of the week.

Yeah this is true. I think Whitney rather than Caz should have gone last week though.

imnottoofussed · 19/01/2026 14:46

Wondering why last week they said Whitney’s wasn’t cohesive as it had different types of wildlife, but this week the one with the pumpkins and the snakes didn’t get that comment. Erm they definitely don’t go together.

They seem to have started off with a negative view of Whitney I think.

Although I do love the programme Keith always has his favourites. Usually the women.

Kayleigh did say that the adders lived on her grandad's allotment where he also grew pumpkins.

imnottoofussed · 19/01/2026 15:10

Ok that’s a strong connection then 🤔😂

longtompot · 19/01/2026 15:14

I was going to say the same thing @mrswhiplington The adders live on the allotment where the pumpkins grow.

I felt they didn't show much of Whitney and his jug this week. I thought I maybe have zoned out, but even when they were showing what they looked like after the bisque firing they didn't really show his. I do find his decoration too disjointed and just feels like there is no cohesive feel to his pottery. It would work better imo if he had a few sprig molds of the same shape and then did the different images in each instead of just randomly over the surface.

Anyway, was sad with who went as they did some lovely work and were just left down with the broken handle. But, if you don't use the item then it's not fulfilling the brief.

imnottoofussed · 19/01/2026 15:22

Yes this week was a tricky one, quite a few with problems early on as several had leaking or cracked items. Marks was quite detailed decoration wise but didn’t appear to have many actual holes cut out to make it a puzzle jug, and also didn’t work. Maybe too challenging for this stage in the series as a good handful had issues? I can’t recall the build up of tasks in previous series.

There seem to be artistic people and technique people but so far nobody really excelling in both, maybe angharad.

I’m sure it’ll become clearer as the series progresses who can keep up with the challenges.

Raku week!

Womaninhouse17 · 25/01/2026 19:53

Please, please, please stop doing those cringe-inducing 'funny' bits at the start. Just plain embarrassing.

AlicePottery · 25/01/2026 19:56

Love raku, it's what got me started in pottery.
