I think she’s so used to his ‘I’m the cleverest person in the room’ ego, from her own experience of men at work, she just wanted to get rid.

He was definitely one of those people. As a woman I applaud her. Hugo seemed full of himself just like the average white man in the workplace.

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2026 11:24

It's just possible that Harriet thinks she is the cleverest person in the room?

AlwaysRightISwear · 04/01/2026 11:25

If Reece doesn't clock to Rachel and Stephen tomorrow he's pretty hopeless.

Maybe she actually is? I haven't seen any BS from her, whilst Hugo thought he could bullshit his way into the final.

Of course. But sadly for Hugs, the thought would never have crossed his mind.

I did think that Harriet spoke very eloquently.

She did. It was just a presentation of irrefutable facts. At that point you could see on his face that he knew he'd been busted and his time was up. She'd outsmarted him and he was totally unprepared for it.

It’s just men. I’ve worked with many. It’s men in general.

To be fair, he was made a traitor so gets lots of screen time and we know he is bullshitting.

I thought he was OK - affable oaf persona, and actually the only person at the table who encouraged someone to stop talking as Fiona was speaking (she then went on to accuse him!).

Piggywaspushed · 04/01/2026 11:28

I am fairly confident the resident Nasty Piece of Work is Reece.

True

Hugo was insufferable on his last day, sitting on a wall holding court with two women (Ellie and someone else?) chortling “Oh yes I’ve worked on murder trials I know how this works”. Good editing as he didn’t seem so pompous before.

On Uncloaked, Ben clearly disliked him and it went straight over Hugo’s head.

What was with all the Pass/Agg thigh slapping from both of them? I lost count how many times they did it. Plus Hugo’s awful rehearsed comedy routine of Dad jokes, cringe.

I noticed Charlotte is pregnant, she looked great.

I think as a traitor he was full on and overly convinced of himself from the start, which isn't very smart. These traitors never lasted long. Hugo forgot that this isn't his workplace where he could just steamroll others.

timetogetlost · 04/01/2026 11:33

Who is Charlotte?
Harriet is most likely the most intelligent.

My fear is now we’ll get the ‘traitor on traitor’ theories and Harriet will come under suspicion.

If Harriet is the ST I can’t see why she would be so determined to oust Hugo. Surely you just use your power to kill off faithfuls and leave traitors to the end, if you’re still there.

Definitely something up with why Harriet felt so strongly about Hugo - almost personal.

Ousting a traitor 'proves' in the other contestants' minds that you are a faithful.

A previous contestant, she was on Uncloaked.

We watched the first episode again yesterday and I think the first person to voice suspicions about Judy was Netty. A lot of the others agreed but Amanda strongly asserted that she hadn't seen any change in her.

Judy started blinking a lot and I thought it made her look suspicious

Vol8fdop · 04/01/2026 11:46

xsquared · 04/01/2026 09:33

There is no reason why they would still need to keep ST'S identity a secret, as the ST will now be joining them instead of being the one to dictate who to murder.

Despite Hugo being gone, Rachel is still very threatened and wants to be in charge from her "We don't need them" response. I think we can expect Rachel to work against ST and throw them under the bus quicker than they did with Hugo!

Edited

I was more meaning to keep the element of mystery for the audience. For us to he able to guess along, which might be why they keep the ST a mystery a little longer. For me, that would be fun.

She might well be.

Rictasmorticia · 04/01/2026 11:50

I am glad that the ST is going to be revealed. Although it opened up an interesting deviation, I would have hated having my hands tied in such away. I would have been so happy being chosen as a traitor, then gutted at losing most of my autonomy.

Some people just like blinking... (v. early reality TV reference)

To be fair (with the possible exception of Amanda), she probably is.

CharlotteRumpling · 04/01/2026 11:54

It seems obvious to me the ST is Ellie.
She said as much.
Don't really like the ST addition.

It’s just men. I’ve worked with many. It’s men in general.

It's not the full of themselves thing for me. ...not in the sense of being loud and overtly superior anyway. It's more just a sense of many being lazy and not thinking they have to try very hard. I worked somewhere where there were loads of women and two men. The women did all the work and were VERY good at it. The two men were lazy and looked for opportunities to duck out of making an effort. They also communicated a sort of superior 'mildly annoyed and scoffingly amused by the women ' attitude between them. I thought maybe it was just my office and these particular men, but Im reading more and more about how this is a common theme in the workplace.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 04/01/2026 11:58

I'm really enjoying the fact that this series has an entire cohort of women of a certain age, all of whom are seriously bright. They are a force to be reckoned with. I'd like to see a final with Harriet, Fiona and Amanda in it.
