What if amanda and rachel are a couple? I think amanda said she's gay ( or am i wrong ?)but i dont know what rachel's situation is. Has she mentioned a partner at all ? It's just now you mention the training for micro expressions that seems to chime with police work / communications / detection / spying etc. She is a cool cookie for sure.

Rachel is married with children. She also wears a wedding ring.

Calliopespa · 04/01/2026 01:05

And measured. Loved the way she didn't lead with her suspicion about the over reaction at breakfast, but got him off-balance before deploying that.

Hugo's problem is he assumes he is so much cleverer than others that he can trick them with his awkward overkill acting. Non-barristers aren't all as dumb as he assumes!

Totally agree with this - his superiority complex was what made me dislike him in the first place!

My vote is Ellie, Sam or the older civil servant lady for secret traitor but honestly have no clue! Have enjoyed it as a twist though!

Oh.ok.

Curveball...what if Amanda's partner is Judy!

Wow. That would be quite a twist.

  • I think Ellie and Ross are in a relationship
  • I think the ST will operate as a traitor (not an undercover faithful) therefore, knowing that they will be brought into the traitor fold at some point….they wouldn’t vote for Hugo, as the traitors would then never trust them and they would be in danger from the off. That narrows it down a bit to : Amanda, James, Jade, Reece, Roxy and Ross

I think that’s already been discounted, as they live in different parts of the country.

And it can’t be Reece or James as they have been shortlisted for murder.

This is Hugo at work.

As well as saying that he works on financial matters and complex criminal investigations, it also says Hugo is committed to working pro bono for just causes and is a long-standing supporter of human rights charity, Amnesty International.

I would have liked it if he’d stayed in longer.

They say they do.

I went on a careers open day about becoming a tax inspector. Someone asked the person running it how they replied if they were asked what their job was. He said, “Civil servant”.

TreesandGreen · 04/01/2026 04:19

The main consensus elsewhere online seems to be that Harriet is the secret traitor, and she saw an opportunity to lead the charge against a known (to her) traitor to cement her place as a very good and committed faithful in the eyes of the actual faithful.
Makes sense, but I've no idea really.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 04/01/2026 00:43

Fiona is apparently a 'local government officer' in Swansea. So basically a civil servant then. The job title 'local government officer' could mean anything really, and she seems pretty sharp to me. Maybe she's a tax inspector with HMRC. Nobody would want to own up to that.😂

Yes and I thought it was interesting when she said "barristers don't look for clues though, the police do that. Barristers just get a brief" - or something along those lines. Is that a detail people would think of/know? I suspected she's worked at CPS or something...

MrsLeonFarrell · 04/01/2026 06:50

I don't think the fact that Ellie mentioned the phrase 'secret traitor' means much. People do sometimes say things that seem meaningful because we know what is going on but are actually random.

Also, Zach in series 2 got kudos because of his mother and son theory but he wrote on Reddit that he had the theory in part because when he was being short listed the production team asked if his mum wanted to take part.

We don't know what clues intelligent people pick up from the interview process.

weegielass · 04/01/2026 07:03

dont know if anyone has said this, but I think Amanda and Hugo are brother and sister or something like that. Just the way they went for each other was suspicious imo
I am also now leaning towards Fiona as the secret traitor.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 04/01/2026 07:20

I’m going for Roxy as the secret traitor. I felt it straight away when her mother was dumped out.

They are from completely different parts of the UK.

This programme always has 'secrets'. Hers is her job.

That theory would only hold out if the ST had known they would join the other Traitors eventually which I don’t think they did.

ThatCyanCat · 04/01/2026 07:51

I actually wish they'd scrap the "secret relationship" thing. It undermines the idea of a group of total strangers meeting each other and apart from S1, which is the only one where there's never been any metagaming because it was the first one, it never leads into anything interesting or worthwhile.

RessicaJabbit · 04/01/2026 08:01

... What if the secret traitor is someone we haven't met yet?

Like a completely new contestant?

Surely not. They didn't leave anyone behind at the last moment this time to bring in midway through the game.

timetogetlost · 03/01/2026 23:47

How on earth did Rachel and Stephen get away with sending Reece away so they could have a private chat? That is the most suss.
Rachel is very beautiful and posted and calm and in control, but I did lose respect for her at that point.

Surely that was a major mistake that will come back to bite them. Even if a connection between the person murdered and the red dots isn't made, simply the fact that Rachel needed "private time" with Stephen and didn't include Reece was very clumsy.

I don't see how they could do it without direct knowledge of the individual participants.

Did anyone else see that? If not, just murder Reece and the track is covered. The ST won't be providing a shortlist so there are no restrictions.

Edited

Isn't she a local government officer? If so, she may well have become familiar with the way barristers work if she has had any involvement in litigation, e.g. planning disputes, child care proceedings, housing claims or defending judicial review claims in social care and education.

Beekeepersmum · 04/01/2026 08:20

My husband is a barrister and as soon as Harriet started going at Hugo, I think it was so obvious she’s got that sort of background (although maybe that’s just because we knew/I’ve got a good insight into what barristers are like!).

I will also say, my husband is a force to be reckoned with in court (watching him do Zoom court during lockdown was eye opening!) but he’s dreadful at defending himself when we argue. I think they have to see things at work as being totally impersonal and stay disconnected, whereas when it’s about them, it’s a lot harder to do that.
