What?

I didn't know she was an author until I read about it on here. Had never heard of her. Just looked at her wiki page and it said she has a brother called Hugo. Could simply be an obvious red herring as a pp mentioned. Just caught my eye, that's all.

Advent0range · 03/01/2026 23:04

@TyneFilth I'm with you - loving the gold earrings, Rachel looks very elegant in them.

RubieChewsDay · 03/01/2026 22:32

I was thinking the same about Sam, but then also came to the conclusion it was just his face.

Yeah me too but i think he might just be a bit of a self satisfied smirky type or actually a bit shy underneath and just gauche

RainbowSnake · 03/01/2026 23:14

Ellie said something about the way she was being quiet could make her look like a secret traitor or something along those lines. I think that would be strange wording if she actually was a secret traitor so I think it was just clunky wording on her part, not her actual role.

Thanks for raising this - I’ve noticed it too. How does this happen? Is it with the BBC or is this mirroring society? I’m not sure.

It's ageist too. The oldies are always looked down on, as if they shouldn't be there

LydiaFunnyGums · 03/01/2026 23:16

The person walking around with the red cloak looks quite tall and with broad shoulders and for that reason I suspect Ross. I also have suspicions about Ellie, Roxy and Jade because they all look tall enough to be the person underneath the cloak.

Do you yhink hes maybe her partners son or her son or something

Also coz he seems nice and honest and she'd nurture someone like that....or she just feels comfortable with him coz he seems honest and she is law abiding ...but thexwsy she took hom by the hsnd was very confident like how you'd do it wiyh someone you feel relaxed and familiar with

saltandvinegarchipsticks · 03/01/2026 23:20

I’ve just realised I’ve read two of Harriet’s books, after a barrister I was working with recommended them to me. I really enjoyed them.

Shes very bright

Oneforallandallforone · 03/01/2026 23:27

It has to be Ellie surely after her talk about being a 'secret' traitor. Why wouldn't she just have said 'traitor' instead of 'secret traitor' if she was a faithful?

Ladybird69 · 03/01/2026 23:29

can anyone tell me what Amanda is telling the others what her job is? I think Fiona is the secret traitor, she’s playing a ditzy old lady but she’s really smart really

AlwaysRightISwear · 03/01/2026 23:29

All the traitors are secret as far as the faithfuls know.

timetogetlost · 03/01/2026 23:32

I have thought from the beginning that Harriet was the secret traitor.

I have a feeling she said charity worker.

Yes I think this is true, there's connections but they aren't all literally familial ones. I think there are at least 4 direct family relationships/couple(s) though.

  • Judy and Roxie: mother and daughter - FACT
  • Sam and Rachel: (half) brother and sister/cousins
  • Amanda and Jade: mother and daughter/aunt and niece, playing a deliberate game of bluff by accusing the other
  • Ross & Ellie: a couple or flatmates
  • Possibly Maz & Faaraz: father and son or uncle and nephew

I do reckon there's an aunt/uncle & niece/nephew pair in there. It's a combo we haven't had yet.

I wonder if Amanda and Rachel are connected in some way. And possibly Harriet. Rachel said something about doing some FBI training so she can read micro expressions in others when they are stressed. I’m guessing Amanda and Rachel have done similar training and maybe Ellie too. Look forward to next instalment,

I have a feeling she said charity worker.

She does volunteer with vulnerable people in the community now she's retired apparently.

ChinFluff46 · 03/01/2026 23:43

I saw on a Reddit thread someone was analysing the photos behind the contestants and apparently Harriets photo is on there (and Sam and Rachel). Maybe Harriet for ST...

Argh been driven nuts trying to scroll backwards having flipped the thread and it keeps jumping so possibly missed this…

sounded like Hugo and Amanda knew each other when he said she’s the one used to building a case against someone not him - or similar, and then his parting shot of how she’d played better than him - sounded emotional and admiring not a vengeful thing - very odd

I've said before I'm positive Hugo and Amanda know each other. He's a barrister and she was a high-ranking police officer. They could have spent ages in court together on the same trial.

Oh, and Fiona might not be Hugo's mum, but she could be his auntie.

I don’t think he’s a criminal barrister, is he

Tillow4ever · 03/01/2026 23:46

Finally caught up as wanted to see what you all said before posting. I changed my mind from Amanda as ST to Fiona (older Welsh lady, think that’s her name) to Ellie. I’m convinced Ellie now.

i loved the realisation that came out to suggest Ross was being set up - Fiona and Ellie were both in that room. Then Fiona says Hugo and Rachel both changed their demeanour and so she suspected them. After that I thought less likely to be ST as surely she wouldn’t throw 2 traitors under the bus so early? Then Ellie made the ST comment in the diary room thingy and it seems too odd for someone who doesn’t know about that role.

ChinFluff46 · 03/01/2026 23:47

It's interesting that Harriet chose Rachel to confess her Hugo theory to. Maybe testing her reaction.

I know someone who tells lies - one thing they do is stare without blinking, much like Harriet did 🤔

timetogetlost · 03/01/2026 23:47

How on earth did Rachel and Stephen get away with sending Reece away so they could have a private chat? That is the most suss.
Rachel is very beautiful and posted and calm and in control, but I did lose respect for her at that point.

Oneforallandallforone · 03/01/2026 23:47

It was very enjoyable watching barrister against barrister. I'm quite glad Hugo is gone. He was too cocky in his own ability to manipulate.

Rachel threw her cards on the table quickly before the ST made an appearance by vowing never to write Stephen's name down and how they could win together without the need for another traitor.

Is there a high number of psychologists in there this year? Ellie? Jade - the pretty girl with the dark hair? Rachel with her FBI trainiing? Not sure of the men - they are mostly a blur. Sam? (the one who steered the round table last night) reminds me of Zack in Eastenders (don't watch Eastenders anymore so not sure if he's still in it).

Hard agree! Wtf was that?!
