*wiltedrose8 you need to be eating little and often. eating once a day means yor body thinks it is starving so will hold on to what you eat. keep the metabolism up byu eating regularly, healthy meals that is!

Lollypopzmummy · 11/06/2008 21:33

Down to 10 stone? Jeez I don't think I've ever been 10 stone since leaving school (but I am 6 foot tall and a goddess in the eyes of manly men, apparently!)

IllegallyBrunette · 11/06/2008 21:34

I don't think it is fair to call them thickos.

If their own diets as children were similar then it's probably hard for them to get out of the habit of eating crap.

thewiltedrose · 11/06/2008 21:34

mumblechum i think thats a bit rude and unfair of you.

Fair enough its nor very fair to have a baby when your seriously overweight but its not always the mums fault. And sometimes the babies are big just becasue not becasue of the mother.

bethoo · 11/06/2008 21:34

it is babies 9 lbs 9 that are classed as big.

DirtySexyMummy · 11/06/2008 21:35

I think if someone gives their child chips, every single day, they are thick.

And if they are not thick, then they are ignorant, or too lazy or inconsiderate to find out why you are not meant to do this.

It's all about the lack of half decent midwifery care in certain areas and the lack of information on healthy diets that are available.

DirtySexyMummy · 11/06/2008 21:36

Sorry - just saw the comment that was related to. I don't agree with that.

Lollypopzmummy · 11/06/2008 21:36

what's that girl munching on, plastic?

dizzydixies · 11/06/2008 21:37

I was told dd1 would be about 8lb when pregnant

scans are hopeless for predicting size, even the sonographer at our hosp is annoyed at my being sent for a 'useless' growth scan but the consultant wants one done

dizzydixies · 11/06/2008 21:37

broken arms & collar bones

DirtySexyMummy · 11/06/2008 21:37

Ah thats a shame. Poor wee girl

OP posts:
Lollypopzmummy · 11/06/2008 21:37

it's frikkin strawberry chewy sweet isn't it? no bloody wonder she's nearly 2 stone!!

misdee · 11/06/2008 21:38

i lived on salad and jacket potaoes with dd3. went off meat completely, couldnt stand anything fried. she was induced 2 weeks early at 7lb 13oz. if i had goen to term she would've been close to dd2 size i think.

but i did have gestional diabetes and the consultants thinks its highly possible i did with dd2 as well , as dd1, bang on date was under 7lb

bethoo · 11/06/2008 21:38

DirtySexyMummy · 11/06/2008 21:38

pollykettlechips · 11/06/2008 21:38

Why do you need a midwife top tell you about diet? It's a lifestyle choice to eat crap everyday in life. A midwife telling you to eat decent food won't make you change your diet.

sheepgoMEEP · 11/06/2008 21:38

that child is not obese

but a whole bag 0of chips

shinyshoes · 11/06/2008 21:39

women know chips are bad, its not rocket science

misdee · 11/06/2008 21:39

how tall is she?

bethoo · 11/06/2008 21:39

cant help but feel sorry for these babies as they are looking forward to a future of bullying and health problems and an early grave (unless they change their diet)

DirtySexyMummy · 11/06/2008 21:39

Age 1 - 2 stone?

I think that might be classed as obese, TBH.

OP posts:
pollykettlechips · 11/06/2008 21:39

Is it me or does she seem quite proud of her chip eating kid?

IllegallyBrunette · 11/06/2008 21:40

That little girl doesn't look that big for a 1yr old imo. Although her diet looks awful if that is what she eats all of the time.

dizzydixies · 11/06/2008 21:40

misdee - 74cm I think I saw on the stick?
