What Christmas film should I watch while step wrapping today?

I'm planning on using today to finish my wrapping while the baby (hopefully) naps.

Recommendations for lightheaded/fun Christmas films to watch l watch while I do it would be great, can be on any of the main channels, netflix, Disney or Appletv. Doesn't need to be a classic or have good reviews, just something easy to follow and fun!

So far this week I've watched - Nativity, Father Christmas is Back, Best Christmas Ever and Single all the Way.

Christmas Cowboy on Prime, sweet heartwarming classic feel good Christmas film.

Lights22 · 19/12/2025 11:21

All wonderfully rubbish feel good Christmas films 😁🎄

Are you me?

Hold on, I'll check....

Nope, probably not. But enjoy your MCC this year anyway, because i'm going to...

LostThestral · 19/12/2025 11:32

Elf and any of the Harry Potter films (half blood prince would be my choice)

stackhead · 19/12/2025 11:34

Noelle was fluffy easy watching.

Skyflyinghigh · 19/12/2025 11:55

If you haven’t seen Spirited it’s good fun.

Ophy83 · 19/12/2025 11:58

I started listening to the new full cast version of Harry Potter ATPS on Audible whilst doing my wrapping. Very enjoyable

Bobbieiris · 19/12/2025 11:58

I’ve always loved while you were sleeping
i agree that hot frosty is fab…so awful but amazing
die hard and lethal weapon are both great this time of year
also love an old musical this time of year like meet me at St Louis or white Christmas
And of course muppet Xmas carol wins hands down!!!
I think I’m going to have to have a look at champagne problems when my babies are napping :)

LikeASoulWithoutAMind · 19/12/2025 12:01

Love Actually is surely the only contender? (And yes bits of it are problematic but shouting at the telly about them is part of the tradition)

Throwawaygh · 19/12/2025 12:02

I’m doing the same, have Home Alone 2 on at the moment and might move onto Champagne Problems next thanks to all the recommendations!

BuildbyNumbere · 19/12/2025 12:14

Champagne problems is ok but average.
The Holiday??
Love, Actually?
Home Alone?

Scrooged!!!

Well DH and I had a similar thought earlier this week. And it has not aged well. I was so bored I stopped watching!

Dollybantree · 19/12/2025 12:25

Can I recommend two that no one has ever heard of that I adore?

Peter’s Friends & Eloise at Christmastime.

I always watch PF whilst wrapping presents. Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie and the like are old Oxford friends who descend on Peter’s (Stephen Fry) country manner at Christmas - it’s funny, nostalgic and very British. And dd and I have watched Eloise every year since she was about 8yo and we discovered it one random Christmas afternoon on tv. (Julie Andrew’s plays the Nanny) 🥰

I absolutely love both of them.

I absolutely love Peter's Friends! It was mentioned on MN recently. Where can I get it?

Bbq1 · 19/12/2025 13:04

Elf, Home Alone or Last Christmas

DoBeGoodDontBeBad · 19/12/2025 13:05

Watched it for free on YouTube via my tv (it was a perfect picture) but Amazon Prime possibly has it too. Love finding other people who love it 🥰

purplehearts21 · 19/12/2025 14:04

The star ⭐ it’s on Netflix

christmassaurus · 19/12/2025 14:29

Thanks all - My Secret Santa was perfect for the mood I'm in today! I'm making a note of some of the other suggestions for watching over the holidays (although DD refuses to watch anything that isn't animated).

Anyway presents are now wrapped, DS is on his second nap and I'm having a quiet sit down before school pick up and the start of Christmas craziness.

Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 ❤️

KitsyWitsy · 19/12/2025 14:39

MabelMoo23 · 19/12/2025 20:20

I’m late to the thread but our tradition is to wrap presents to Die Hard.

Always

with Baileys on ice and a tub of Heroes

for fluffy stuff, Christmas Chronicles, Arthur Christmas or Noelle

edited to add and Deck the Halls!
