Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Maybe Jean will bring Jasmine down and she’ll go off to prison ( with any luck )

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 10:47

Will need a new thread soon south!
we like to chat

Southeastdweller · 06/01/2026 11:20

I can’t see Zoe going down for the murder - the current producer loves the Slaters. Michelle Ryan is probably on holiday.

Just wanted to say I am totally confused with the future episode and then last night’s one in the present day.

The episode last night was good though. What if Jean, shock horror is actually right and it’s not a mental health delusion episode.

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 12:17

Why does a woman who was on a cruise for months on end need a night out. Linda’s only been back a few weeks!

Pabbel · 06/01/2026 12:19

Did anybody notice the state of the curtains in the care homes managers office when Phil and Julie were in there, seeing the curtains would have been a red flag for me, poor Nige!

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 12:47

I wonder what Nigel will do to make it clear he isn’t coping and needs a place somewhere. I can imagine it’ll rumble on though.
Didn’t notice the curtains, but the manager said they needed extra funding. Maybe things like that are just left? They do put the pressure on to take up places straight away though.

Shellingbynight · 06/01/2026 13:57

I think last night's episode was to show Nigel will not move to a care home voluntarily regardless of what he said a few weeks ago (which he will now have forgotten). They will have to make the decision against his wishes.

I did wonder if Julie had disclosed that Nigel was violent. I doubt it. That type of care home would not take him on if they knew as he would be a danger to other residents (and staff).

The only 'funding' care homes get is from their fees so maybe the manager should increase them!

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 14:10

Nicola doesn’t look pregnant!
I have read that Ravi is drugged by her and Harry next week and does something bad , but doesn’t remember what it was. It all sounds a bit intriguing

Anyonecanfallinlove · 06/01/2026 14:29

I just thought, someone on here said Steve McFadden was quoted saying that christmas would be sad. I don't recall anything sad, was he meaning Antnknee's death?

I agree that he perhaps have meant about Anthony ( or Patrick’s reaction), also about Nigel having to go into a care home which happened over the period.

Eastie77Returns · 06/01/2026 14:43

Yes apparently Ravi hallucinates while trapped in the garage pit and something catastrophic happens. Is it too much to hope he takes a car, drives manically around the square, Jasmine is knocked down again and this time doesn’t recover?😂

It will be very sad if Nigel is moved against his will into the care home but realistically there isn’t much else Julie and Phil can do. My mum had Dementia but she was very calm with it, content to mainly stay at home and we were able to look after her at home until the end. Nigel gets agitated and violent so it’s really not an option.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 06/01/2026 14:52

I didn't find anything sad about any of it. 'Antnknee' wasn't a beloved character, his whole comeback was to faciliate the 'myson' story. Patrick's reaction is bizarre considering he hasn't had any substantial contact for many years, was he even a doting father when the boys were young? Maybe Patrick is upset because he is feeling sorry for himself and the choices he and his criminal sons made in life. There was also nothing sad about the Nigel storyline over christmas, they only visited a care home this week. Christmas they were happy.

Southeastdweller · 06/01/2026 15:18

They decided last week or the week before that Nigel can’t stay in the square.

I did feel sorry for Patrick (as much as you can for a fictitious character) losing his second child and his grief was portrayed well. You don’t have to have had a good relationship with someone to feel grief when they’ve died.

Two things -

Bad Boy Phil doing jigsaws 😍

and

Squealy Bealy 🤣

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 15:58

If I were Zoe , I’d be a very annoyed and upset that nobody has been to see me on remand! Mum is on a wild goose chase, Alfie is running the pub and looking after the boys, Jasmine hasn’t bothered and only interested in Oscar again now ;(
I am surprised that Cindy or Lauren haven’t mentioned to Kat that they met her adopted mum and what she said about her, but I guess that they are staying out of it. Which is odd as Lauren and Oscar live together and she knows what went on. Cindy I understand as once she discovered Jasmine wasn’t a Ford , she lost interest !

Yes I saw them and thought the same . The lining was hanging off !

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 16:04

Maybe Steve McFadden meant the film he made was sad and he realized it was for him didn’t he.
I wonder if they will let Nigel die before his in a home because once his in there the storyline finishes. They don’t like too many visits away from the square
At least there is a bit of a chance for them to say goodbye and have a sad ending etc at home together. Bit like Lola.
Is Julie still a teacher , she is another one never at work and they are back now ( Lily was in her uniform yesterday)

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 16:15

It’s strange how people who are estranged from others or family still become upset when they die though. He was still his flesh and blood.
In Patrick’s case he probably feels bad that they argued and how his lost two sons as well.
Going by his demeanor on New Year’s Day , he seemed better , so he’ll obviously move on over time.
i wonder if Anthony’s family in Scotland will come down ? She had this restraining order on him , so she may not or just be forgotten about.
The whole plot was to introduce Jasmine and probably myson in the future, so a lot will end up being archived now I guess.

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 17:10

I bet they don’t have a big funeral for Antnee either.
No big carriages or the horses for him! Might not even feature it much.

storminabuttercup · 06/01/2026 17:16

Hey all! Been away from these threads for ages as we got sooooo behind and had to catch up before Xmas

I have no clue who max could be marrying but I get the feeling it’s a marriage of convenience because surely even max wouldn’t be in bed with someone else on his wedding day?

someone covering up for him maybe?

i liked Jean in last nights episode but I do think it is making light of a serious condition

im glad Anthony is gone, he came back as a very different character didn’t he?

at the min I love Oscar and Nigel is breaking my heart, Phil is playing his part so well too

the time on the clock that woke max up was surely a clue, wasn’t it after 11am, on his wedding day? People don’t stay in bed that late, then Scott mills was on the radio which unless he’s moving to Verns slot it’s a huge continuity fail or maybe I’m over thinking it

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 17:28

Storm,
yep, Scott Mills signs over to Vernon Kay at 9.30 am so wouldn’t be on the radio at 11.12. I think that we all felt it was too late to get up and get married, plus it gets dark at 4 pm on NYE doesn’t it so you would get married early ! The 11.12 may be a reference to something else , but none of it made too much sense and is probably all a bad dream..
I am not impressed with what they are doing to Jean. Today’s one she is blaming Jasmine for people leaving , so Stacey going off has really sent her into one of her episodes and it’s all become worse since Christmas .
She had it in for Zoe not that long ago.
I hope they can have her sectioned or maybe a mini break with Lynne and Big Mo.
At least Yolande today told Alfie she needs to stay away from them!

storminabuttercup · 06/01/2026 18:00

In fairness Jean isn’t actually saying much wrong? It was jasmine wasn’t it? Or have I imagined that?

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 18:12

It may have been Jasmine that killed him, but honestly, if you had done this and your newly found mum was on remand for it , would you then consider moving in with these people and have a bedroom across the landing from where it happened?
I know none of this is real, but most people wouldn’t!
Zoe has been charged with murder. Nobody has visited her and Jasmine doesn’t even seem too upset about it.
It’s just bizarre.

the80sweregreat · 06/01/2026 18:15

No, Jean is probably correct , but considering she wanted Zoe gone or even dead not that long ago , nobody believes her! She is clearly having a bad episode too. I just hope they can get her some help as she needs it.
