It's true. People always rock up to Phil's unlocked house, try a couple of combinations that don't work while looking panicked, sighing deeply etc...before magically working it out on the third try. He's been robbed that many times and lost tens if not hundreds of thousands (plus had random guns stolen) you'd think he would try some kind of better security and move the safe from behind the picture in his front room. But the loss of all the money never seems to bother him for longer than 5 minutes!

@Shellingbynight it made me laugh when Alfie went to Barcelona "to find Zoe".

The money that Stacey had to spend on that air b and b and Zoe ran up debts on her card and all sorts , yet it’s all forgotten! Who paid it off?
Max had 3k for Lauren. Sometimes it’s a mystery where it all comes from if it’s not from Phil’s safe that is.

What I don't get the most is that most of the ladies look quite polished most of the time and their children sometimes look the same age as them. I don't know anyone who goes to work in a leather pencil skirt, frilly blouse and high heels. Apparently this is sensible workwear, especially pulling pints.

Yep, the woman always look glossy.
I know that I joined in the gentle ribbing on here about Zoe’s jumpers and dowdy look at times, but it was probably more realistic than the full make up and blow dried hair the others all have each day.
Most bar staff around here just wear normal clothes , sensible shoes or trainers / boots. . You’re on your feet a lot , why wear uncomfortable shoes?
E laine’s clothes are more outrageous each day and very flamboyant. Not really that practical for serving breakfasts , all that splatting oil everywhere!

I really liked tonight's episode ❤️ Highly amusing behaviour from Alfie and I loved Jean in her Miss Marple role. Brilliant acting from her!

Alfie was funny with the Doc today ! Even Dh laughed and he doesn’t like Alfie at all!

So not only is Kat swanning off to Corfu, she’s got several £K in her handbag to hand to Dor. And what does Kat think she’s going to do if she finds Chrissie anyway? Jessie looks like she had more cheek fillers.

Jean was ridiculously annoying today. She’ll end up sectioned.

Nigel is being written well at the moment. It wasn’t a bad representation of a dementia care home but there were a lot of basic mistakes just like in the Reiss storyline. SS has not agreed funding, the financial assessment will take months, so the care home wouldn’t accept him. And as for Phil walking towards the entrance with Nigel - you have to ask a staff member to let you out.

So Ian has bought Kath the launderette. He has the same magic money tree as Phil.

Maybe she should see if Dor knows anything about MySon while she's out there, get more bang for her buck!

Agree that myson may return with her! That might save time and money.

I recently started using the App and realise you cannot see 'reactions' on it at all, so I never know who can see it when I agree/thank etc - anyway @NowNumber5 my reaction is the same as 80s!

Julie wants to sell the house in Scotland to fund the care home.
They do put pressure on you to sign up these places .. it’s all a game to some of them ( sadly)

But she hasn't sold the house so she hasn't got any money. She has done no planning at all. It'll cost about £6k a month, even Phil's safe will be empty by the time the house is sold! Anyway Nigel has refused so that's that for the time being.

Phil has fingers in many illegal pies, I don’t think he’d struggle to pay £6k a month tbh. When Sam came back a couple of years ago she owed a drug dealer £100k and Phil produced the money to pay him off in a matter of hours.

I could do with Phil’s safe after Christmas! Lol
Harry and Kojo are never at the arches much , god knows how he makes any money tbh.

They used to give us a clue about Phil's illegal dealings and source of money but they don't bother any more! Anyway Nigel has changed his mind so Phil's safe can remain full for the time being 😆

Phil had a few businesses on the go once, but nothing much lately only the arches which rarely sees a car or ( indeed) an actual mechanic! ( or any diagnostic instruments of any kind)

Yes, good luck to anyone who wanted their car fixed in Walford for the past few months!

Is Jean onto something or just mental?

Could be both. She clearly needs help, but it might well have been Jasmine protecting Zoe who she knew was her mum from Anthony who she didn't know was her dad.

The bit at the doctor's when she sounded mental but said what have I said that's not true😂. Fair point Jean.

Kat had already worked out a lot of it on Boxing Day , but clearly the police have enough evidence to charge Zoe? Bit confused there.
I can’t believe that Jasmine wants to live with them.
The adopted mum said she was dangerous yet let her stay with the slaters. Admittedly this was to Cindy and Lauren , but even so. It’s been such a mess hasnt it.

I still think it probably was Jasmine who killed daddy, but if so it has been really badly done. Jasmine barely reacts to anything, even the death of dad and imprisonment of mum leaves her face completely blank.

Jean might be accidentally right, anyway she can't be any more wrong than Zoe who was certain about 12 different people were responsible for stalking her!
