Penny finds out she is pregnant by Vinny in six weeks time. Penny dies before Christmas, baby Ethan is saved by Max ( and Jimmy ) because of some incident at the pub.
Although, Suki and Eve would take Ethan in surely?
Suki probably wouldn’t approve of Penny though, so maybe not. Or they have their own ( adopted) one to deal with by then and can’t.

True. Max had the same clothes on .. didn’t think of that ! Scrap that idea .. 💡 lol

At first, I did wonder if Ethan was Nicola’s child , but then we saw her in the Vic with the crutches with George plus that makes little sense…
So two more pregnancies this year going on.
Chrissie always wanted children ..
I hope it’s not Chelsea marrying Max. Only one that makes sense is Linda tbh. They have a child already and he can win people round !
Cindy and Ian may be working together to set him up, hence why his best man and wants it all to go ahead.
Revenge for Steven and Lucy as well even though he didn’t murder her etc.

Watching it again. New significant man is who Lauren is having the affair with?

Max was in bed with the pregnant woman so presumably there is a sexual relationship. He was in the house next to the Peacock Palace wasn't he? I don't know who lives there.

I’m thinking that he was in what is/was Zak’s flat?

I wondered if Lauren was an informer, not having an affair. She let the police in very easily to arrest Max.

That was the worse bit for me. So annoyed that she will still be around for another year as she is a terrible character imo. Was hoping that Teddy leaving would encourage her to go too

I thought this about Cindy and Ian! He’s meeting Cindy and somehow it’s some kind of scam between her and Ian. Because why is everyone else against Max - even Peter as he isn’t going to the wedding - but Ian is fine?

Nicola is growing on me! I feel like she is going to become a significant character - like Sharon , Peggy etc

Max was clothed wasnt he ? Trying to remember if he was under the covers or not ? He didn’t roll over and kiss whoever did he ?

Makes me think it’s not an affair - too predictable — and he’s protecting someone. Someone who everyone thinks is missing etc because no one mentioned a pregnant woman in the flat . Could he really keep a pregnant mistress secret on the square?

Did they think he had murdered someone - maybe the pregnant woman ? Who was missing and being hid by Max for some reason for safety . They thought it was murder so had armed police , then the found the “victim” so it’s all different? He’s actually protecting her ?

I thought the time meant something . It’s such a random time and an alarm went off at that time for a reason I think

I wonder if something has happened to Penny / Amy and she’s in hospital ( the same thing that caused Nicola to be in a cast , a big stunt ) and whatever it is was caused by Ravi and as a result of the whole Ravi / Jack feud. Denise is angry about that or about Jack drinking because he’s depressed etc ( he could be depressed because once again something to do with his job has harmed his child , like what happened with Penny when she was little ) Could even be just a small row , and she’s stormed out. They’re obviously still together if she’s getting ready at the house for a wedding. I also think Penny / Amy / Ethan’s mother can’t be dead as the baby is newborn so would have been recent so why would they be attending a wedding ?

But why would Denise be getting ready at Jacks, if she’s marrying Max ?

It's all been left open to interpretation, there's no way we can guess what the storlines will be, I don't think they know themselves. It's been done in a way to factor any cast absence, so they can change plot at the last minute etc. I was surprised they featured so many cast members, as it puts quite a bit of pressure on them for this year.

I did wonder if Zoe was the bride, and that's why Kat and Alfie weren't behind the bar, although would they book Ian for the catering?
There will probably be a few pregnancies this year, to keep the options open for who will be Ethan's parents

Was so disappointed this morning, I opened the iPlayer tat around 6.30 to find no new episode 😅

The police asked Max who was in the bathroom didn’t they ? I guess that when we all see this episode again at the end of the year we will see the part where she opens the door.. ?
Cindy was in a towel wrap , can’t remember the others where they in dressing gowns etc? They didn’t look stressed out did they as you would be with the police knocking the doors down!
It’s blown up on Facebook with speculation around what has gone on! Which was the desired outcome of course.
I know they share Annie , but I hope it’s not Linda. I don’t it to be any of them though !
I feel that it’s Cindy and Ian setting him up , why be best man to your arch enemy ! Makes zero sense

I do like the idea of Cindy and Ian and Ravi setting max up for some kind of mutual revenge.
Jimmy is their grandson and was in danger because of him , Ravi because he slept with Priya ( although I can’t see her with him really) or a drug deal gone wrong.
Makes your head spin. I hope his children don’t end up dead or missing. Lauren and Oscar don’t deserve it

I can’t believe that over the course of one year Cindy would go from blaming Max for the death of her first child to marrying him, but stranger things have happened on EE!

I hope Chelsea is involved (I do still think she’s the Bride). She needs to be used more.

Ahh, but if Ian has talked Cindy into marrying him , that’s different isn’t it! So they can rip him off is my guess. Take all his money or they hoped he’d be framed for this hit man job , but it’s backfired on them.
Ian has arranged for Lauren and Oscar to be kidnapped. Ravi knows people who would do this

EastEnders must be clinking the champagne glasses this morning, it's absolutely everywhere, we all love a good puzzle.

I'm usually crap at solving these, I thought the taping finger on the steering wheel was chrisy, she taps like that, no idea who the baby is but at the start there was a changing mat on the table, by the end there was wedding shoes and other stuff and a wedding dress on the back of the door.

Who was looking out the window of the flat max had been in when the police were taking him away when he was talking to Ian, Oscar and new man. Was it pregnant woman?

The flat was definitely Max's home because he had pictures of his kids on the shelves, I seen things on other sites saying he was staying over with hidden pregnant woman.

I'm thinking he's marrying someone completely different than those shown last night.

Jack had no wedding ring on when he was watching max being interviewed and did penny sleep with Harry Dec 15th episode.

living, I only recall Penny sleeping with Harry when he first appeared. It was a blink and you’d miss it moment !
Have they met up recently then ?

Oh, it’s definitely livened things up. I hope that Jasmine is gone soon and maybe the Zoe stuff, but that might be wishful thinking. At least we know who is around this year ! Or some at least.

Penny looked like she was going to hook up with Vinny recently. Not Harry.

I just rewatched the opening section with Max and pregnant woman. He is definitely under the covers with her, he folds back the sheet and gets out of bed, he's wearing what looks like a black t-shirt and pyjama bottoms.

80s Max had left the flat by the time the police were yelling at the bathroom door. The woman just unlocked it and they opened it.

@Anyonecanfallinlove Yes exactly. After seeing the episode we knew as much as we knew before - it told us nothing. It's almost pointless speculating because it'll be full of annoying red herrings and you can bet they haven't actually even finalised half of it yet!
