Connected with Max Branning. Priya seems most likely to be pregnant. Chelsea who was she last seeing apart from the married man.

I do like Max as a character. He livens things up. Wonder if Stacey will return from Brazil and get involved in the Max drama.

I keep on thinking with EE when’s the next big storyline/shock reveal going to be. It all seems a bit predictable to me now.

I like the Koje character though and Honey and Nigel in the pub was sweet. Drunk Kathy too! 🤣

I like having Max around as there's something quite believable about him. In his head it's never his fault, no one ever believes him, he always means well. The story about him helping a neighbour with a spider was typical! It makes you really have sympathy for Oscar and Lauren.

Oh god I could see Chelsea going for Max. She likes older men, and she is drawn to abusers. Probably because of Lucas.

Penny has never even said two words to Vinny before has she?

Here’s a tip Max. If you want to stop repeating toxic patterns, stop drinking yourself into a stupor. And stop bursting into every public occasion and harassing Lauren about how you're going to change.

So Ian can produce a bag of cash at a moment’s notice, why didn’t he pay off Lauren’s charity money? And what does Max do for a living?

Max is a composite of a hundred Mumsnet relationship threads.
We've read about real life versions of him here so many times.

Chelsea was about when Max was living ( and working on the Square ) although she might have had a different head !

Max started off selling insurance years ago. Then had the car lot which, although only selling a couple of cars occasionally, made him a huge amount of money as well as providing a place to entertain ladies 😉

She was with horrible Gray and they have invisible Jordan together.

Max can get any woman pregnant. Quite likely that half of us on this thread are already pregnant with his child due to his super ginger nut sperm.

The baby scan is probably Nicola.
She will get Max involved with the ongoing Harry / Ravi feud and some drug dealing. Max hasn’t got involved with drugs before ( far as I know) but maybe he’ll buy the car lot again and get on to that game.
Hence the car and the baby scan photo and the gun ? No idea tho

I’ve known two Max Branning types.
One was an old boss from way back who liked much younger women and could charm the birds from the trees.
The other one married a relative and he was funny , but a drinker and was a ‘ womanizer’. Not together anymore. Even my mum liked him and she usually could sniff out a wrong un. Some people have charisma

Usually these women roll over for Max .. it’s good that some are calling out his behavior as wrong and I’m sure some writers look to mumsnet for inspiration as well. Too many people around like him isn’t there !
( some women too, but it’s rare I suppose )

Oh I also agree that Max is never ever in the wrong is he ! Victim complex.
He is very brazen about it too. Promises to change every other sentence. 🙄

I am interpreting the end of tonight's episode when Max said "This time next year I'm going to be a proper dad" as he will have another go with some random woman ie he accepts it's too late to make amends with both Lauren and Oscar - hence the baby scan.

I really hope we don't get a year of self pity from Max and declarations that he's going to change and be a good dad. He plays the character well but it's just repeat rinse repeat.

Agree Penny and Vinny is a bit random.

Jasmine's acting seems to be improving.

I was confused when I saw Pryia and the kids with those expensive looking bags of shopping. I thought the family was broke?? Where is Ravi supposed to have been all this time?

I hope it’s not Linda that Max ends up marrying/killing. Although she rebuffed him the other night she definitely looked as if she still has a soft spot for him.

Penny and Vinny are two characters with no purpose so maybe they’ll get together and leave. He is actually a very handsome man but it’s overlooked because his character is so pointless.

About time we saw more of Vinny. He is v attractive, needs a love interest story.

Penny and Vincent were sweet together, I know it was a brief interlude.
She is very attractive and Vinny is also nice looking.
I doubt that Suki would approve though somehow. You know what she is like!

The panesars do need to start breeding with other old timer families though, so in 20 years we no longer know who is related to who in each family.
