I don’t think she will. I think she will be in the bottom 2 next week but will make the final. I don’t think she has the public won over. Not me anyway, especially after her comments in last nights show. Yes, she’s the best performer however, that’s her day job. She doesn’t have the support that I can see over social media.

I agree with you.
I was trying to make a joke, that obviously didn't land 🤦.

threesocksmorgan · 08/12/2025 09:43

@pizzaHeart did you miss the "my contestants" and her comment to lewis about him being her faN?

AnAlpacaForChristmasPleaseSanta · 08/12/2025 09:39

Neither can I. It shouldn't have surprised me but it did.

So first some people don't want any disabled contestants because they "ruin the vibe". And now it's annoying that non deaf people are making a small gesture to include the deaf community for some reason. Except for when the actual deaf person did it. That was acceptable because she was one of them.

I can't eye roll hard enough 🙄🙄🙄.

I actually feel quite upset, really. It's such a small thing. I remember Dr Ranj introducing Makaton, which was lovely. I like the way some of them flutter wave instead of applauding as well.
Having Ellie, Chris McCausland, Rose, Katie Piper, and various para athletes has enhanced this show so much and is one of it's absolute strengths.

I assumed she meant he’d been very welcoming to her as a late starter on the show.

💯agree with you.
I'm racking my brains to think why people would find someone touching their chin with their fingers annoying but it's beyond me. It doesn't interrupt or impact the flow of the show in any way at all and is no different to people doing the ❤️with their hands. Which nobody seems to have a problem with.

What was the "my contestants" thing?

The “my contestants” was surely just a slip of the tongue though? In the moment, talking rapidly, she surely meant to say “my…” what? Colleagues? Fellow contestants? The other dancers? And she might’ve meant Lewis was her biggest supporter, which he probably was, coming from a similar camp; dancing background, massive ringer etc.

I’m not an Amber fan, but I think she’s all right, not as up herself as some seem to think.

She meant he was supportive and "her fan" are you being deliberately obtuse or did you genuinely not understand her tone.

Nikita is very obviously delighted with Amber as a partner!

Yeah she corrected herself, they are excited and hyped up after the dance and sometimes trip over words, I do think some posters are looking for things that are not there about Amber.

I've noticed that when there is anyone of Amber and Lewis' calibre of dancing on the show. They can't attack their dancing so they call them fake, cocky, faux modesty, humble brag etc. That happened to Alexandra Burke, and this year Lewis and Amber.

xsquared · 08/12/2025 08:16

Any of the three who are new to dancing deserve to win.

Karen is absolutely not new to dancing. She trained as a child and went on to complete on big events until she gave it up for football.

You don't learn to do those spins or a one handed handstand in 4 days.

Ah! Must have missed that! That explains why she’s done better at Strictly than any other professional footballer who’s taken part.
Dancing was not part of her job though, unlike Amber. I have nothing against Amber, as I said previously I think she and Lewis were both amazing to watch.

HelmholtzWatson · 08/12/2025 10:59

Next time the judges throw shade at the public for who ends up in the dance off, someone should remind them of the time they gave Balvinder and George the same scores as Lewis...

MadameSzyszkoBohusz · 08/12/2025 11:02

I’m not sure I can be bothered watching now, the remaining contestants are just a bit…dull. Lewis may have been a ringer, but at least he had a bit of personality.

What is an angry ginge?

Contestant on I’m a Celeb, actual name Morgan, social media handle, Angry Ginge

I was surprised because I could've sworn that people like Robbie Savage, John Barnes and Alex Scott also reached the semi finals. Maybe it was the quarters instead.

Equally it's not hard to be the most successful footballing contestant when your competitors include the likes of Tony Adams, Paul Merson and Peter Schmeichel 😄.

They always get a bit arsey when the great unwashed have a different opinion to them! 😄

The judges really after all these years don’t understand voter logic

I agree. I don’t actually care who wins now. I like Bal a lot and would like to see her win because for me she has had the bigger “journey”, but I don’t think she will and it will just be predictably Amber now or possibly Karen, and I just find them both meh to watch, although they are both obviously technically very good.

FleurDeFleur · 08/12/2025 11:35

I think it will be George because of his huge SM support. Even when he performed lack lustre dances and scored badly, he wasn't in the DO.

FleurDeFleur · 08/12/2025 11:36

I doubt Amber will win, because of what happened this week.

I stopped liking her the week she did Ariana Grande and was acting like she really thought she was Ariana Grande. She seemed so full of herself and if I remember correctly she was in the dance off that week, so others must have seen it too. I hope you are right and she doesn’t win.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 08/12/2025 11:43

My mate has a rule where she will only vote for people she’s heard of prior to the competition or someone whose fame credentials are obvious. Are they properly famous basically. Not anyone you’d have to google to find out such as George. She voted for Balvinder 5 x on Saturday

The fact that, as pp said, she's finished a run in the Great Gatsby musical, where she did the Charleston every night, has probably made people hesitant about voting for her.
