The winner of Celeb is a "live streamer" and a you tuber with millions of followers i mean he was nice enough and did well on trials but I wouldn't have said he was a winner, I am so out of touch though.

I have not explained myself well. I meant I am in a minority because I prefer ringers. Not just Lewis. All ringers! But the exception seems to be Amber, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on.

I think Lewis comes over warm and personable its probably the north east accent, Amber looks like she could be "spikey" but i don't think she is.

I couldn’t warm to Amber at first but after seeing her in musicals week, I thought damn, she can dance. And that’s really what we ought to be basing it on. It’s Strictly Come Dancing after all.

I didn’t but I didn’t see anything in them, that why I asked if I missed something. I rewatched them again now and I still couldn’t see anything in Amber’s comments apart from saying that it’s especially difficult as Lewis and Katya were very supportive to her and Nikita.

I suspect that Amber was closer to Lewis in general than say to Alex or Balvinder due to their age, background, late joining situation.
I also think that chatty Amber pairs well in conversations with quieter listening Lewis. And Katya and Nikita share some common background as well. So I’m not surprised if these two couples were particularly close.

It’s a known phenomenon that if you don’t like someone you mainly see negatives in them and try to find negatives where there is none 😉

Poor Katya is in pieces. Openly crying and really struggling. Lewis is being more upbeat and positive. A tough watch.

I honestly. CBA with the rest of the show now. I didn’t realise how much I wanted to see Lewis and Katya in the final. Such a shame.

I had the impression that the panel were stunned by the voting. That despite music that did not match the dance, costumes that did not either, Karen was voted through. That Balvinder danced so beautifully.
I think people enjoy the semi - professionals. But up to a point.
But prefer to vote for people who frankly have not danced as part of their career. And who come across well too.
Katya and Lewis danced the routine in the musical almost. And forgot what it was supposed to be. Too much Billy Elliot too. Which he used to be.
I also got the impression Katya and Lewis knew the result before it was announced.

Won't be watching ITT. Can't bear to see my favourite pro in tears. Bet she had something amazing planned for next week.

I feel so sorry for Katya… she is so emotional on ITT. I really feel for her. She must’ve worked so hard. So disappointing- they didn’t deserve to go ☹️ Imagine working that hard and losing out to less better dancers. It feels unfair.

I have never seen Katya so upset. The last time she cried openly was when Nigel had to withdraw due to an injury, but she pretty much bawled her eyes out throughout the interview on ITT, and blamed herself for not doing enough.
Lewis was doing his best to remain smiley and comfort Katya.

His appearance on Strictly will have raised his profile, so he will have a bright future, probably on stage if he can sing as well. I saw Strictly Ballroom with Kevin Clifton in a few years ago, and was just thinking that Lewis would be perfect as Scott.

I think they realised, like most people on this thread, Amber would be saved in a DO against virtually anyone, and unfortunately for Lewis, this wasn’t his best dance. The sad thing is, any other week he’d have stood a good chance of getting through - at Blackpool for instance, when he was brilliant and Amber’s QS was just naff.

Does Michael not do any dancing at all?
Genuine question btw, I've only ever seen the film version of BE.

I have seen the film but not the musical. From what I have read, Michael has one main dance for "Express Yourself" when Billy calls on Michael to find him dressed in his sister's (or mother's?) clothes.

The other is as part of the ensemble in the finale.

They likely realised, the only couple that could beat them in a dance off was Amber and Nikita (and vice versa) . It’s unfortunate it was a bad week for him and a good week for her.

It’s so strange isn’t it, these people have massive careers are earning crazy money and adored by literally millions and the rest of the public have no clue who they are.

Have you heard of MrBeast? He has the highest following on utube of all at roughly half a billion followers which is around 150 million more than the second largest. He’s a billionaire.

It’s not strange, it’s just a generational thing. I hadn’t heard of angry ginge until IACGMOOH, but why would I, I don’t watch that stuff on TikTok and have no interest in watching young men talk about football and play games online, however nice/funny they are - assuming that’s what he does. Mr Beast? No clue. It’s another world. Most people who follow ginge probably hadn’t heard of Alex Kingston.

I don’t know if the clip I saw on instagram has been mentioned on here yet - Amber dancing in The Great Gatsby some of the exact steps that were in her Charleston. No wonder it was so polished!
