I was so pleased to see George’s personality come out! He and Alx are my favourite, and she’s unfortunately really struggling now. I’m sad she won’t be going out on one of her earlier highs!

There’s a huge difference between having dance experience 20 years ago, and having dance experience 5 years ago. I did a lot of dancing in my teens, but that was almost 40 years ago, and in a body that bears no resemblance to this one, sadly!

I don't know because it was a fast moving thread and MN doesn't always let you know the result of reporting posts. Wouldn't surprise me if not though because a lot of abelist posts seem to be allowed to stand.

On the topic of ballroom v Latin, it's very noticeable just how few waltzes we see nowadays. I've just looked at a list of all the dances and there have been 5 waltzes in total so far this season, compared to 11 cha cha's and a similar number of salsas etc. I think they should all have had to do a waltz by about week 5, it's the foundation of ballroom.

Yes and that they only did the stupid announcing the last two couples out of four because of Ellie. But strangely enough they kept doing even after she had been eliminated.

I also remember a lot of sneers about sympathy votes and making the final undervesedly directed towards Chris last year. Even when he won it was only due due to his blindness.

I didn't know they'd changed the DO reveal because of Ellie. Assumed they were just mixing it up for a change.

They didn’t change it because of Ellie they WERE just mixing it up - but lots of people said they must have done it for her and misunderstandings like this is how ableism spreads

Amber definitely won't win; she doesn't have enough likability - Lewis has a chance, but I'm now hoping Karen wins 😀

I don't mind her previous experience, she's just multi talented (and seems such a humble, lovely person).

I have rewound that lift that Amber and Nikita did at the start of their dance ...and still don't understand what position Amber was in or how she got there !! 😅😅.

So did George, he said it quite specifically on his TikTok.

It's a silly reason not to want them to get the top marks quite frankly.

I'm assuming most/all of them have practised a little bit of each routine in preparation.

I loved Instant dance - the dancing, that is. The choosing clothes and changing parts were, to me, utterly stupid and pointless; the wacky, manufactured chaos was reminiscent of children’s TV. But the actual dances were great - loved George who made no attempt to pretend he knew what he was doing!
I just can’t warm to Amber, although I do think she’s a great dancer. There’s just no connection. Plus she can at times stomp around like John Wayne - how someone with such great legs can give the impression of bow-leggedness I just don’t know 😂

You can vote for whoever you like, but your reason for not voting for Lewis because he's a ringer, isn't consistent when you've voted for Amber, who is the other ringer.

I've just been watching Friday's ITT with Alex and JoJo. Very funny revelation that Jojo got a tattoo once when drunk. It's a bible verse, but no further info! Also, he's making a very big deal about how Alex has made him fall back in love with dance and this is the happiest he's been for a while etc etc. A little harsh on previous partners perhaps.

I don’t think last night was the first time George has shown a hint of personality, he’s got a dry sense of humour and low key wit that makes him stand out less than some of the louder ones. It’s a relief quite frankly; too much screaming and leaping about is exhausting at times.

I’m not keen on the fancy lifts. I don’t think they add anything to the dance.

… I’m sure I remember Johannes saying he’d fallen back in love with dancing the year he was partnered with Annabel

If next year people drop out and have to be replaced last minute (including 24 hours before the first live show) anybody that is approached will likely have second thoughts after seeing the stick Lewis and Amber have had. Well Lewis less than Amber but that is usual with male ringers

If people don’t like ringers then it’s the Strictly production team that should be getting the rubbish thrown at them for recruiting them, not the individuals who have taken the job.

On last night I thought Amber’s instant dance was much better than Lewis’. I cannot take to Karen at all. Yes she is on track to win but she definitely wouldn’t be my choice
