Dance experience? Not bothered, almost every has some dance experience even if it's shuffling about in a club when they are were a student or a few sessions of country dancing in infant school.
But I don't like contestants that have extensive dance training post compulsory education age or professional dance experience in any style.

The Strictly pros are supposed to step up and dance Street/ hip hop/Bollywood/Afro beats etc for CC, show dances or opening numbers not to mention AT/ Charleston etc that aren't in the Ballroom/Latin genre. So on one hand they are saying to the Strictly Pros as a pro you should be able to adapt to any style and dance outside of your training. But then they wheel out a celebrity who literally gets paid to dance and say AHH but it's not ballroom so they don't have an advantage.

To me you can't have it both ways. Either pro dancers should be able to have a stab at anything or dancing outside of their trained style is a really, really big deal.

Danny Mac is so hot - getting even better looking although I hope that’s a natural tan he has!

I was gutted that year he was second, definitely robbed.

I’m looking forward to the dances from the ex contestants - don’t think I’d bother watching tonight otherwise with no dance off.

I do think either Alex or Bal will go next week - if Alex doesn’t seriously up her game the judges could be forced to save Bal again though - is a 5th dance off a record?

I’m not feeling the love for George and I’d have him out before either right enough, but he seems to be popular so likely safe.

I think the DO is going to be Amber, Lewis and Karen.

George may have a big fan base but I can’t see him being saved over Amber or Lewis.

Yes I was just discussing this with my partner, Lewis and Amber are practically guaranteed to be in the final because if either of them are in a DO, they aren’t going anywhere (unless it’s against each other). I am just unsure whether it will also be Karen or George

I'd much rather see Karen there than George but of course he's got all those Tik Tok followers. If he gets to the final he'll probably win.

Just watching now as actually had a life last night, and was out.
Anyway, my quick summary.

Bloody love the Steps extravaganza and Faye is one of my favourite ex SCD celebs, she was fabulous.

Favourite dance of the night was Carlos and Karen's Paso Doble.
Loved it!

Did not understand the undersea theming of Amber and Nikita's dance?
Song is Reach for the Stars, not Reach for the Starfish!
Laughed at Amber upping the ante with a Live Nan on Bus, bringing out the big guns now 😄

Thought Lewis and Katya's Charleston was not as good as I thought it would be.
Favourite ever Charleston for me is still AJ and Kai - that, to me, was Charleston perfection 👌

Bal and Julian's AT was OK, but why was the set so dark? And so many extra dancers! <shakes head>

Alex and George's dances were not that memorable to me.

Looking forward to Jay's Pulp Fiction Jive (a favourite to rewatch) but not looking forward to Layton.

If Amber is lower than Lewis, Karen or George on the leaderboard as yesterday showed, she could be knocked out by any of them if they end up in a dance off.

It'll be interesting to see what happens next week, I think, as the votes and scores are rolled over.

George and Alexis was really fun but I was mostly in love with their VT chemistry. That’s gonna be an announcement at the the end of the series surely?! I also really like Alexis, I think some PP on these threads always take a season or two to warm up to new dancers.

Why do the female celebrities jump up and straddle / wrap their legs around the pros when they get great comments / points ? I find it very cringe .

Some pros are effective choreographers from the beginning. Katya was. I think Alexis's choreography is poor. I'm sure George is a nice enough guy but he doesn't seem to have much personality.
