Oh I’m not trying to cast a strictly curse upon anyone, just thought I noticed a chemistry Grin

Most of the couples do that, don't they? It's sometimes a bit too lovey dovey for me. Lots of clinging on, hugging and kissing.
I don't know what's wrong with a brisk handshake and "well done".

Indigovelvet · 23/11/2025 17:12

Yes maybe some do fake injuries if they have other commitments like pantomime.

nomdegrrr1 · 23/11/2025 17:21

I'm not sure about Alexis. I think that she's an amazing dancer, and I think she's had her work cut out for her if she's come from an American background to George's laid back attitude.

I love the joy of Julian in Balvinder's CC, and I don't exactly mind looking at him, so I'm happy for him to stay. To be honest, he looks like he should be modelling for one of those romance novel covers where shirts aren't available, possibly with a wolf in the background.

I think the other commitments tend to just lead to you getting knocked out anyway. When you are suddenly restricted to a couple of hours training a day while everyone else is putting the long hours you stop progressing. We've had soap stars that were really promising suddenly drop down the leader board because they have entered a period when they are heavily involved in long filming days and they just can't keep up the standard without the hours.
I don't think anyone has faked injury - even people who clearly weren't enjoying the experience.

They have to be checked by the official medics to show it's all above board, and avoid gossip and rumours.

Yes. The Duke And His Secret, with his hair blowing in the wind as he stands atop the castle crenellations.

EchoedSilence · 23/11/2025 17:45

I doubt LV faked an injury. Plenty of contestants have other commitments.

Of course he didn't. He had to have the X rays and scans from their official docs. Strictly can't have that scandal. There's enough looney conspiracy theories about the show without all that.
His pantomime starts on Dec 15th. In the unlikely event he was still in Strictly he'd either have to do both, or the panto could use the understudy.

Naga Munchetty had the air of being abducted and held captive throughout the whole process. There were times when I'm pretty sure that she would have happily self inflicted a wound if she could have got her hands on service revolver!

A Blighty Wound! As I understand it, the contracts are very binding. That's why any injury is seen by the official medics and documents kept. I suppose you could get dodgy scampi on the seafront at Blackpool and have a few rum and blacks to get out of it, but they might sue you for mischievous intent!

That would only get you out for week which would be covered by a bye. There is no way out and the British public do seem to like watching people suffer. There are times when it's quite clear that a celeb would see the boot as a blessed relief but the public keep on voting them through.

True!

He needed JoJo to teach him how to dance in high heels!

You'd think he'd be used to them.

La Voix always wears them when in character.

Obviously all women wear high heels all the time, so when he's pretending to be one, he'd have to wear them.
Hmm

Yes, I know he wears high heels when in costume. It's just that he's never danced in them. Which is different.

Bayroot1 · 23/11/2025 18:48

I don't wear them (heels) I'm tall. I can dance in mid height heels. I'd be no good on strictly.

Hopefully LV heals soon? He'll want to be right for panto.

I've never been able to wear heels, even to walk in, never mind dance. I'm only 5' 1" but it doesn't bother me. Flats every day! Kudos to all the dancers who can, including the amazing JoJo!

PrizedPickledPopcorn · 23/11/2025 18:53

Have we seen this? sorry if I’m late. It explains her dance being a bit leaden!

I really hope she doesn't, but she was clearly struggling last night.
