Jean was annoying again. Lily should tell Kat what’s going on, but of course she won’t. Not sure where Charli was whilst this was going on.
I even felt sorry for Zoe today.

@70isaLimitNotaTarget - we wouldn't be surprised if it went that way would we? 😆 I too am trying to work out how living Debbie fits in with dead Nigel and Pat.

80s Funnily enough, I had been thinking the actor manages to do Evil Antnee better than he ever did Nice Antnee. But it is barely believable that the character has gone that way.

Shelling, I think that now Zoe is under his spell ( because she is desperate) he’ll up his game a lot! He will isolate her from her family and generally be even more nasty. I don’t remember him much before , but he was ok I think. It is a u turn on his persona, but having an evil doctor around may make some good episodes.
Have to see.
I saw that Dots place is having a fire, maybe that is to do with him too ? Can’t think how, but Lauren and Zoe become close , yet someone is watching! Might be the estranged wife ? Who knows.

Kim is now unemployed and Howie can’t be earning that much ( despite the stealing side hussle) but K wants the whole wedding shebang. 🙄
Money is so weird on EE!

Kim isn't unemployed though, she works at the salon, Howie mentioned it yesterday. I'm not sure what she does there as we haven't seen the salon for ages.

Oh yes. I had forgotten the salon as we last saw that place last year I think ? Plus Dee is hardly ever around either. K used to do nails I think ?

Makes you wonder how any of them survive as they hardly do any shifts and the other businesses run themselves. Now Kath wants the launderette and the cabs too ( Ian said yesterday)

They said Dee is away so as Kim is loitering around the house who is running the salon! Lola used to do hair and nails didn't she? We saw her in there quite a lot. I think you're right, Kim must do nails, her type of thing.

We haven’t seen the salon in action for months. I don’t recall the last time we saw anyone in it.
Dee hasn’t had many storylines since Feb really. Once she was back with Jack , it’s gone quiet for her.

I liked the scenes in today’s episode with Howie and Anthony - I’m interested how this story will play out and I agree that Nicholas Bailey is convincing (for a change) playing this side of his character.

Howie and Antnee now have ammunition on each other.
It’s sad that Yolande or Partick haven’t been in touch with Antnee’s wife. Irl you would do, but EE folk are a breed apart when it comes to things like that. Plus she may be scared to say much anyway.

Sam is back next week after money and she’s found a lump :(

Haven't seen today's but Patrick and Yolande didn't know Anthony's wife did they? And in real life you'd be amazed at the number of inlaws who don't bother contacting their discarded daughter in laws, mine included 😆

I guess you could say it’s just a coincidence, until the moment you discover your fiancé is stealing the parcels! It’ll be sad if Howie leaves because his light fingered, but it is low of him to steal things :(

No, I suppose that Partick may not want to contact his son’s wife and children ! Yolande was sniffy about him being with Zoe, but people stay out of it I guess.

I wish that Jean wouid calm down a bit tbh.
She is so good at playing being in a manic episode , but it’s exhausting and her hatred of Zoe knows no bounds.
She needs help really , but nobody ( apart from Lily) is addressing her obvious mental health problems.
Doing the ‘die lights ‘ was a real low for her too.

I am dreading this fast forward thing. This producer does not seem particularly good if the last few months are anything to go by. So a full year of shoe horning storylines to fit the fast forward is not sounding very promising

The Six was a good idea but not executed well and that was when Eastenders was actually worth watching. Nowadays it’s just Zoe and Jean screeching

The problem with the fast forwards is what happens if one of the actors involved is ill or needs time off and can’t commit to being around. It worked for the six, but maybe they were lucky that nobody needed any significant time off. Unless they film it a long way in advance separately and shoe horn it in somehow ?
Anyway, I’m intrigued as to who ends up with Max. I’ve seen him in photos on a suit with a buttonhole , but may be a red herring of course.
(Whoever they are , if it’s marrying him , needs to see Tanya to find out why it’s not such a good idea ! Lol)

Jean has been very annoying. I can imagine they have lost a lot of viewers because of how she is.
I hope she can get some help, because she does need it.

Max and Linda (re-)bond over Annie and romance blossoms, followed by an engagement. Their wedding date is set for 1 January 2027. Cue a surprise guest on the big day - Mick!

This is all my imagination of course. But did you notice Gina saying to Anna at the farewell party “you’ll be back - even dead people come back here”. With a pointed look at Cindy, of course, but who knows…

that sounds good ! Danny dyer is doing well at the moment and I think it would have to be a big old pay rise to come back. He seems to be doing well with Sky adverts !
However, who knows? It is regular work on a soap and he was popular.

I love Jean and I think she’s a really good actress.

I also like Jean and she is good, but this story with Zoe is just annoying. I hope it all comes out and she can get some help.

I can’t stand her - yes she’s has a lot to deal with - who on the square hasn’t - but the way she treats people (now and historically) means she’s an impossible character to like and it’s not like she’s not on medication! If I was Kat I would have lost patience a long time ago, Gillian Wright is a brilliant actress but her character is awful. Possibly my opinion is influenced by my relationship with my mother who has mental health issues and like Jean, has a habit of pushing people away. You reap what you sow.
